  • Worst Parking App with Bait and Switch

I visit Buffalo for the first time in my life and decide to head downtown to visit the historic city hall building. Street parking will not allow you to use coins. Instead, you are instructed to download the app. I want to pay for maybe an hour’s worth of parking. I tried to pay for two dollars. Next thing I know, I am charged $10 as a wallet to draw money from in the future. Now where is that made clear until it is too late. Do not download app and do not park anywhere that requires this app.
  • App is good, but…

… in many instances the “zones” are not labeled at all. If the app is smart enough to take your money, it should automatically populate where you’re parked.
  • Buffalo Roam is not very good

I downloaded Buffalo Roam ahead of time to be prepared as I was instructed by my HR rep for my new job. I did make a mistake in my license plate number, and there is no way to edit to correct this once you save the license plate number. So, I saved it again. Ok onto the next problem.....I enter my zone which was 17, nope the message said “this is a prepay zone”. I just kept going in the app thinking “well isn’t this prepay?” Next problem....I put in all my credit card information, after numerous attempts the message would only read, “network error.” Needless to say, I gave up on Buffalo Roam.
  • MADE TO STEAL YOUR MONEY

I bought this to park near the hospitals downtown as a student and you HAVE to automatically load $10 on your card. Even for a $3/day meter, you have to pay $10. It’s ok if you plan on using that meter several times but they only let you load money in increments of 10$! Such a scam for travelers or one time parking use downtown. This app is a joke. I rather risk getting a ticket than being victim to Byron Browns Scam parking apps
  • Convenient but misleading

It’s definitely more convenient to pay using an app and eliminate the need for coins. I’m disappointed however that the app allows my to pay for parking on the weekends when in fact there is no charge for parking. I find this very misleading. it would not be difficult to have the app display parking zones to reflect pay vs no-charge periods. Customers deserve total transparency and fairness.
  • DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP

You will have to fill in your personal info, vehicle info, credit card info, and then load up your account with a minimum of $10. After that its $3 dollars to park, AND A 10¢ convenience fee because apparently putting a few quarters in a machine is way more complicated and time consuming. This app is bull crap, just find a lot where you can pay an actual person. You let me down Buffalo, you let me down.
  • The newest version of the app is terrible’

The way the app used to be was so user friendly. Now, is much more difficult to do so many things.... especially add money. I have tried several times and several different ways and it won’t work. Switching from the different features on the app is cumbersome. It was such a convenient way to pay, but not anymore!! Please make it easier to use again. Also, what do I do to add money? At this point I can’t even use it because I can’t add money!
  • Not well put together.

I have been using this app for parking but it seems to be a glitch in the software because when I haven’t used this app in a while it clears out all of my info including the money I have transferred into my wallet on the app. In turn I lose all the money and never see it agin.
  • Network Error

Ever since the app updated I have yet to successfully use it. Every time I “submit a new session” for my parked car I get a “network error.” I uninstalled the app, then reinstalled it (per FAQ suggestion on the app) and still had issues. Had contacted the “support” in the app and have yet to hear anything back to resolve the issue. I do think they app is great but it’d be so much better if it worked..
  • Convenient, if you know what your parking zone is

Don’t get me wrong, I like the app. It is easy to use, and keeps me from scrambling for change at the parking meter. The problem I run into is not all of the parking areas in town have the zone number clearly marked on the meters or the ticket kiosks, so if you guess the zone wrong, you’re getting a parking ticket. Otherwise, kudos.
