I’d be lost wihout this
Since beginning my faith deconstruction , I have been hard pressed to find a devotional that speaks to me in the way this does . I cannot tell you how thankful I am for these words every morning . They are literally a breath of fresh air to me . They challenge me , encourage me and bring me peace as I start the day ahead .

Not really a review rather my idea of spirituality you asked your followers for...
I see spirituality as a way of being in this wonderful wacky wild & challenging world. The way the mist rolls over your Maunga and brings tears to your eyes, the foam of the Moana curling rolling unfolding & falling like lace up the beach. Being in touch with creation, being aware seeing the nuances, I find to be deeply spiritual & connecting for me. Easter Sunday walking on Medland beach, I saw the deep shadow lit, under the sea, as I walked towards the headland. It was a refracted light as the sun was peeping above the headland, catching on a patch of sea. It was special like seeing under the water (seeing beneath what’s around me)…
I had just felt this lovely sense on my chest of Gods presence, like a warm hand may feel, walking towards the headland & the comfort of that. (Not felt for a long time). So that was my deeply spiritual moment & significant for Easter.
A sense of something greater, seeing something special, that touches you…that to me is spirituality, on a personal level… I photographed it & shared on Instagram.

I start each day with Liz and her message in the Practice Co and I continue to be inspired and amazed at how relevant it is to what I’m going thru at the time. Love that she is so real. I had an issue with the app a couple of weeks ago and the tech staff responded to my email and had fixed the problem in 48 hours, which was just great. Thx so much for this app ❤️Show lessJudeFB

Today’s writing on brokenness described in such a clear and compassionate way of how it feels when you feel broken. You turned it all around and turned it into something beautiful a process to be enjoyed, even though painful, and helped to take away the judgment that we place upon ourselves in calling ourselves, broken, or even just simply feeling it. The truth is God did it make anything broken? He created all of us unique and through difficult seasons, at different times for different reasons, and it is ends, and the lesson to be learned our used the way God intended to help one another else from going through that or just to tell them show them that it’s OK to feel that way. So I know and I’m sure many believe God uses those tough times when we feel broken and rock-bottom and useless, and lost to teach us and changes some mold us, and grow us into who he intended us to be all along. You have such a tremendous gift for writing and describing these feelings, and you certainly are a huge blessing and a tremendous awesome tool to depend on and times of struggle and in times of blessing. Thank you for all you and your team I’ve been subscribing to your app for years back in the day when it was pocket fuel. To anyone that needs encouragement, and some tools of understanding when going through times this is certainly a amazing gift.

I was searching the App Store for a daily devotional and wanted something a little less bible thumping and a little more real life. This fit the bill perfectly. Sure she doesn’t use bible verses every day but she guides you how to live your life in the real word as God would want you too. She covers topics like forgiveness, trauma, and so many more things we really need to hear. She also has great guest writers. Something I really appreciate is when she is discussing the Bible she looks at passages as is and the message there. She does not bring in other verses to create a message she wants like happens at church. This has been eye opening. I have been reading this devotional for about a year and a half and can’t recommend it enough. I feel closer to God and more appreciative of his creation because of it. This app marries emotional well-being, creativity and faith in such a deep and beautiful way. I appreciate particularly how the app gets to the heart of what we cannot always articulate in our mind, body and spirit. Few christian apps or church spaces offer emotional guidance and even few create imaginative graphics and poetry. I would recommend to all!Show lessdwellingplacerw

This app has been such a God-send to me on my deconstruction journey. If you are looking for something that is thought-provoking and soul-soothing, you’ve come to the right place. Liz has obviously been where I am going, and her writings, along with guest writers, plumb the depths of deep spiritual questions and come out with encouragement and hope for an exciting future. I saw several others mention the price. I don’t even know what I pay for this, but I don’t care. It is the most valuable app I have, with nuggets that I continually share on Instagram because they’re just too good to keep to myself! Worth the time
I usually end up unsubscribing to lifestyle and spirituality newsletters because it’s not worth the time and online clutter. I continue with The Practice Co because it’s an authentic, thought provoking deeper dive into divine truths that encourages personal growth and is written in an interesting way with practical value. This week’s newsletter was of particular interest to me. I’m a child therapist, and a book I often read to children on the theme of flexibility uses the metaphor of being a palm tree (flexible) versus an oak tree. And every time I read it to children, I have a nagging thought about how oak trees represent reliability and integrity to me. Emotional, Spiritual, & Psychological GOLD 🔥🔥
In all honesty, I have NOT been very good at sticking to reading plans or devotionals. I have a full page list of devotionals I’ve begun & have not finished within my Bible app. However, somehow, with this devotional, I’ve been consistent & have completed at least 5 - 6 plans (new personal best). This is largely due to how rich & insightful the writings are!
They do a great job at speaking into the places and spaces of life that connect with one another. It honors the complexity of life by writing in such a way that leaves room for healthy ambiguity, and individual processes to fill in the blanks. It leads you to think differently about your thoughts, emotions, spirituality, and how they influence one another. It’s filled with mindful prompts that are always profound.
Less homework-ish & more meditation-y.
When reading, you can tell the authors have been through some stuff with regards to the rigidity of church, religion, and traditional ways of thinking. Some of that old pain bleeds through in the content, but there is something about that rawness & authenticity that makes the insight relatable rather that coming from a place of “I have overcome this”.
I go to this app most mornings of the week, and I usually never regret taking those 10 minutes to dig into my own heart & get honest about what’s there. Thank you for helping to facilitate a more meaningful connection to myself and what makes me, me.Show lesspm514v

Uplifting and supportive. The devotions where they explain difficult parts of the Bible in the context of the history and political background, and help illuminate how this fits in with inclusive values are especially helpful.tmke100
