Don’t leave the app while setting up
If you leave the app even for one second during setup — to go to your password manager, for example (you will, after all, be setting up new passwords during setup!) — the app will forget everything and make you start over. It may also do this randomly at other times, too.Alex K, 00
Worst router and clunky app
This is by far the worst router I’ve owned. I cannot update the software. After going through the in-app prompts, the device still states version 1.0 instead of 1.11. I tried downloading the update and installing it that way too but samebahoelscher
Bad Design and Worst Functionality
The app design is rough and the functionality is unusable. Upon app launch it scans for devices for way too long. Every time. Short switch between apps...rescan. I guess the app have 0 memory of what’s happening. That also means you can’t setup or login to an account because as soon as you do...rescan. Which then kicks you out. Did you even test this app? This should be fixed ASAP. This is deleted until you can figure out how to fix it. The web interface is at least usable.Show lessandrewhalliburton

Setup went smoothly, everything executed without a hitch. The walkthrough was very simple. I thought the built-in ookla speedtest was a nice touch. Congrats to dlink for a great app.snapicus

The app allowed me to setup my network very easily and was pretty much a next next next basis, the only inputs info I had to provide being the network name, network password and admin password.
Thank god this was the case because the provided instructions were very simplistic with diagrams and no text apart from how to get the app installed on your phoneShow lessHxhxsc

Dlink wifi app cannot find the device
I have set up the dir x1860 and am connected to the internet wirelessly through it and speed tested at my providers maximum speed but the app keeps saying connect to the d link network and then return to the app. I have tried restarting app but get the same problem. This happens on both iPad and iPhoneShow lesslairynoy

Love this WiFi Router! Setup was simple via the mobile app. Very nice process. And the device range covers a large area... much farther than I anticipated. Overall great hardware and software. Job well done to the folks at D-Link!TheTusconPhoenix7
