Satisfaction

Bought 4 camera unit had issues with one of the cameras and never once did someone say send us the camera we will happily replace it. Quality is poor and accessing cameras during the day while at work, very seldom can get all 4 cameras to work. Really not happy with them , and one camera is all blue , you can see the porch grass siding on my house but all shades of blue , don’t dare call to get help with that issue even if I’m willing to pay , just saying I had a bad experience dealing with the people, the online purchase went smooth, go figure//probably been two years ago I wrote this all is the same blue view , periodically don’t work , when I get frustrated enough I’ll upgrade from forward slashes is currant

Systems reboots too often

I have 2 other properties using Lorex, no issues (older versions) this one I purchased 8 months ago. At least once a month I get a message from the app (video lost, check connection) by the time I open the app, sometimes instantly, it works fine. I use to get this notification multiple times a week, since the last update. It’s now once or twice a month.

3-star app, 2-star equipment

1 Camera fails and turns black daily and 1 camera is persistently grainy. Unplugged / replugged multiple times external and internal connections. Purchased a bigger power adapter. Performing, manual, daily reboot to fix camera and screen degradation. Lousy app does not have capability to schedule auto reboot. 6 cameras clear and sharp ONLY after reboot and all 8 cameras degrade with darker screen tone 4 hrs after reboot. Lorex iPhone app very slow to connect even via wifi (I have AT&T fiber 1 Gb).

Good system

We have been pleased with our security cameras with infrared sensors and voice recorders. The Lorex Cirrus app is easy to use. The only issue we’ve encountered with system settings is with the sensitivity for motion detection alerts. Although it’s likely user error, we’ve had difficulty tweaking distance and movement to a level that will disregard insignificant movements such as wind rustling the shrubs, or leaves blowing by, etc.

Works better than most.

Cameras are great. Hard drive navigation is not terrible. This app works…. Can be a little slow from time to time but overall it does what it says it does. Access all cameras at or away from home. Only issue would be all the notifications and recordings do not get saved under notifications. You have to manually go to the camera and search the timeline hoping you know what time whatever it is your looking for to play. 4 stars.

Fantastic cameras

Have had these fitted around my house for several years, and have no worries about my home security. Can access it from anywhere in the world. Night or day.

Awesome

Better than the Arlos we currently own in one of our homes. Install no problem, video quality great and no wires all over my home. We ownly use them indoors so we don’t need the security lights but the lights coupled with the loud siren makes them great for outdoor security. Purchase recommended you won’t regret it. The app for setup works very well.

Good cameras terrible app

Camera system is great, really clear picture.
App is terrible, the old app was much better.
Takes ages for picture to load, playback slow loading and freezes all the time, always a blank screen saying connecting. Forever having to close app and restart.

Wonderful!

This is my second Lorex system, an upgrade. The first system, I had a monitor to help me place the cameras. My wife telling to move camera: up, down, left, or right. With this app, I was able to see what the camera saw and adjusted it accordingly. I didn’t need to climb up and down ladders. Which was great, because I had a total knee replacement.

Notifications from app, lost camera and rude technical support!

When I get notifications that pops up on my phone app and click on it to play it back from app it doesn’t allow me too. It just keeps on circling circling. I’ve never had a issue before now I’m just running into so many problems. Even lost of signal on some cameras that has extended antenna that was purchased that was attached. I’ll be looking for a replacement camera system. Plus I’ve dealt with rude technical support. I’ll be looking for a replace camera system soon!!
