Won’t Load

Further to my last review : I’ve plated around some more and it seems that 1. All that appears is a blank blue screen and 2. 'Lorex' does not appear in the list of loaded Apps.
Maybe there’s a fault and the bit of software that actually installs it is missing, or doesn’t work on older iPads?. Can I have the previous version back again, as that was faultless.

Good Wireless System

We live in rural area. I did a lot of research & this product was the best, most affordable option. We’ve had our (2) Lorex cameras for about 3 years. The signals are strong, even though 1 camera is about 100 yards away, on our pole barn, from the recording device & antennae. Reason for 3 stars is due to 3 things. A) Audio has never worked.
B)Twice, when a major update or something was needed, it wouldn’t download, load or system won’t “reboot” & their customer service isn’t knowledgeable AT ALL with regards to iPhones. (My alerts come to my iPhone.) I have to pay a 3rd party computer service to get downloads to a PC & then somehow to my phone. (Not sure what they all do but they get it back up.)
C) About 1-2 times per year, I stop getting alerts. Recordings stop. Cameras are stuck on a date 1-2 weeks prior. It’s trial & error on my part getting them to work again. I’m super busy & immediately know alerts aren’t coming in but don’t have time to do all the “fiddling”. (Reboot. Restart.) Sometime it just takes doing all that 2-3 times & then they start working again.
LASTLY- I will say the solar panels work fabulous for both cameras. No glitches or issues there! Even in harsh MN winters, panels & cameras are durable & continue to work. (Until they don’t as mentioned above!)
Would buy again.
**Wish there customer service reps were not off-shore & were versed on all operating system platforms. So, 3 stars.

App always improving

Recently upgraded my iPhone and had to reinstall and found it easy and hassle free 10/10 from me 👍

Two Issues

First, it is not clear when you try to exclude a part of the picture from motion detection which way it works. Is it the area that is unshaded that is blocked for motion detection or the area that is shaded that is blocked from motion detection? We have bushes that blow in the breeze, and no matter how we set it up they seem to constantly give us notifications of motion. so we need to know, explicitly how to block those bushes from giving us notifications of motion. Secondly, it would be very very helpful If you were to put an option in the app to be able to turn cameras off and on so that if there is something going on in the area, you could turn it off, so you’re not getting 100 notifications of motion. We have LHB926 so make any changes applicable to that model as well.

Checking up on 94 yr old mother with advanced dementia

It’s so great to be able to get immediate conformation that she’s ok at her assisted living facility. And be able to playback what happened overnight to see if staff checked on her regularly for wetness and changed her incontinent briefs to avoid her contracting a UTI. But it would be a lot easier if could select more than one camera at a time for playback so when wish to switch back and forth and see the same time on another camera, don’t have to start at midnight every time.

Huge Improvement

My Lorex system and the companion software were a HUGE disappointment for me when purchased many years ago. Couldn’t log on, could not connect to my iPhone or iPad etc. Support was nonexistent. Somehow, the current system (same cameras, new software) WORKS! Not perfect, but a tremendous improvement as it now is a valuable tool against lowlifes that try to invade my property. The few times I’ve needed help were dealt with and solved promptly.

Update as of April 2023 - System still working great. Now I want one or two of thei PTZ cameras!

Lorex client software

Big improvement for remote access. No more ‘unable to connect’ . In the past, the App sometimes simply didn’t work.

High quality-easy to use system-great mobile app

The entire system was easy to install and provides high quality video and piece of mind. The storage is plenty and I have never had an issue going back to retrieve a video. The mobile app provides opportunity for live viewing and receiving notifications for any movement. I would highly recommend the system to anyone who wants to ensure video security to their home or business.
