Stopped working
It was working fine for the longest time and just recently it stopped accessing the gates and is now saying there are no accessible keypads nearby. I’ve tried deleting the app , refreshing my phone, refreshing the gate software , but nothing is working.LadyJo11

App update?
Seems that every time the app is updated it takes longer to work, and has more issues.dug3324
Update doesn’t seem to be working very well
We have been using storage genie for a year to get access to our storage unit and as long as I wait until we pull up to the keypad to activate the app it opens the gate ok. But I did the latest update on e app two days ago and now the app is having problems finding the keypad, sometimes it doesn’t find it at all, sometimes it says it has found it and says the gate is open and the gate is in fact firmly closed. Shock, horror, we had to manually use the keypad to get in, but the app worked first time coming out, go figure!Show lessGubernaculum86

That about sums it up. On the rare occasion that the app works you need to be standing within 2 feet of the keypad in order to connect. Even the. It’s hit and miss as to the app functioning.

Version 1.2.1 is the best update since 1.0.2
I write this review as a storage operator. We started using the app as version 1.0 and the functionality was exceptional for iOS and subpar for Android.
OpenTech outsourced a new developer and they began updating the app for both platforms and until version 1.2.0 for the iOS, three app was flawless. Version 1.2.0 bricked the app and it begin to delete user data and operate as many users for the Android complained, including closing out and extremely long load times.
This information was immediately brought to the attention of OpenTech with videos to display issues.
After receiving an update that the app was fixed and the new version 1.2.1 was uploaded to iTunes and the Play Store, our team immediately updated on iOS and Android.
It performs as an earlier version 1.0.2 on the iOS and many Android users at our storage facility reported improved performance.
Please continue to use this version as an essential baseline for all future updates.Show lessAmigo "M"
Always carry your code
This app has worked great and then 50% of the time it has not worked at all. Always carry your pin code with you because you can’t rely 100% on this app to open the gate. Not working goes on for days, not minutes. It makes the noise like it has opened the gate but it doesn’t work. If you don’t have your pin code, you can’t get in to the facility but worst, you can’t get out of the facility! I’m leaving this review to help you avoid being stuck. Works perfectly everytime
Installed for my facility after we upgraded our keypads and it works perfectly. For the person saying it doesnt work below, are you sure your facility supports the app? Also it does require Bluetooth to be on in order to connect to the keypad, it will not work without it.Chubbs227
