Glad it mostly works without the app
My WiFi password requires a special character (modern security). It isn’t worth trading my WiFi security for the convenience of using the app. If the device ever gets updated to support non-alphanumeric characters, I’ll try again. (Hopefully the device firmware can be updated at some point via the app using the direct connection.)
Unfortunately, the device defaults to centigrade, and I can’t change that without the WiFi working. Given that the app itself can connect to the device using the device WiFi, it would be nice if I could at least control the device when I’m nearby, by switching to its own WiFi.Show lessAshiko West

App won’t connect to wifi. App often quits before the process is complete. Contacting support yielded exactly the same instructions as on website and was no help at all. App deletedVankiwi
Not so great app
Cannot get my unit to pair with the app. Have tried multiple times. From the indicators on the unit itself, it seems to pair but it doesn’t show up in the app. Very frustrating.J. Finch
Works well app is the worst
At this point you might as well not even have an app. It doesn’t ever work any more. Now I can’t even get my iPad, or my phone to see it let alone connect to it. Just give up, you have failed on the app side of things. Now the unit, I love this little box, cools down my bedroom, if the timer worked that would be amazing, but since it doesn’t it works for the little bit I need it for.Show lessBig Ben Red3

Tried to connect to my wifi and wont work. They really should of just made the app be able to auto detect your wifi.
