  • AMAZINGGGG but I have one suggestion

This game is amazing!!!! It’s so addicting and fun!! If somebody that hasn’t downloaded Skullgirls yet is reading this review, I suggest that you download it! I promise it’s fun but it’s a little frustrating. But I do have one suggestion, could there maybe be an option where you can restore data? I’ve tried to link my email and google account on both my iPad and IPhone and it only worked on one device. I like to have same account on the apps that I have on my phone and iPad so that if my phone breaks or something, I’ll always have my iPad to play on and I won’t have to start all over again on a game. Sorry if this review doesn’t really make sense, but I didn’t really know how to say the whole suggestion. Other than all that, this is a 10/10 game!

  • Op character in competitive

Okay so the thing is with competitive is that you can be a lvl 5 and be paired with a lvl 60, and 90% of teams use robo fortune because her combo + juggle take you to 40% instantly. Please nerf her damage because at times people can follow that up and straight up kill you with one combo and I think that’s extremely unfair. I have an idea as well, add a trophy system, the more wins you get you earn more trophies, that way beginners trying out comp won’t be paired with a lvl 70 straight off the bat, beginners should be paired with other beginners no matter what, because this system is just not working well at all right now. I love this game and it needs a system for competitive. There probably is one but I don’t really see it. Please take my ideas into consideration and make this game an even better fighting game classic on the App Store.

Update: To the Developers, I understand. Thank you for taking the time to read this review and tell me what is wrong with it. I hope this game will become one of the best classic fighting games on the App Store. I’m not a bot I swear 😅

Hey there, Currently the only restriction with PvP Matchmaking is we match players in the same region. We ignore player level and rank to maximize the chances of finding a fight with a good strong connection. If we put too many restrictions in place it'll become hard to find games. However, we do have plans to make Versus Mode much more feature complete in the future - give us a little time and I'm sure you'll be impressed :) Best Regards, ~HVS~
  • 99% amazing

Skullgirls Mobile is probably the best mobile game I’ve ever played. No cap. I love how fluid the animations are and how the controls are very responsive and easy to remember. Combos are flashy and look super dope when pulled off. (Big Band goes hard on combos. Trust me.) The soundtrack has got some real bangers and the stages all look really good. My only problem with it is that you can’t buy individual characters in the shop for canopy coins. I always wanted a Heavy Metal Big Band, Class Cutter Filia, Stand Out Eliza, Star-Spangled Cerebella, or Blue Bomber Robo-Fortune for the fun references. Unfortunately, there’s no way I can buy these individually in the store. I just have to try my luck with loot boxes. Injustice: Gods Among Us did this with the starting roster of characters and it made the early game super easy to make a team with characters you want, and not random Parasouls that I get every time I open a premier relic. Other than that, I have no issues, so if you would personally cater to my request and not pay attention to more vague and important issues facing your game I would be just delighted. Thanks a million and keep up the great work.
Also put Mario in the game. That would be cool.

Hey there, Thanks for the lovely review! It's great that you've been enjoying the game! Currently you can buy individual Bronzes and Silvers with Canopy Coins in the Cabinet of Curiosities, so if you keep back you should find that Blue Bomber eventually! Aside from that we don't have any immediate plans to add the option to buy Golds and Diamonds like that, but we understand players do have favorite fighters they want. To give players a better chance, we do run special event relics throughout the year that have smaller loot tables with only 9 or so kinds of fighters in them so players can aim for fighters they want. Cinco de Mayo is coming up, so maybe you'll see something you want in that! If you have any other feedback, please let us know! (except about adding Mario. We don't want Nintendo to hurt us). • Let me play.

Probably top three fighting games on the App Store right now the only problem is when I got this game a couple days ago I literally just could not play it because of all the stuff that would pop up explaining literally every part of the game I get it it’s a tutorial but relax dude it took probably half an hour or more to just get to playing the actual game. I got through all that bull played a little bit of the actual game and decided that was enough since I’ve been on it so long. So I pick up the game today two days later and I started it up and legit three or four things pop up telling me I need to do an energy Boot Camp or upgrade this person or maybe spend a little bit of your Real money on this game. I get it but relax if I needed to do the energy Boot Camp then I would. If I wanted to upgrade my character then I would. If I wanted to spend my real hard earned money then I would. I understand how to do all that because I had to do the 30 minute tutorial so when I start the game please just let me play it dude without trying to get me to do all this other stuff. Again it’s a good game but it seems too pushy. And I can’t stress enough how annoying that to tutorial was just teach me how to fight explain how you want me to spend my money and tell me how to upgrade that’s it it could legit be less than 10 minutes.

Hey there, Thanks for the honest review. That's really excellent feedback to hear, so thanks for letting us know. I'll let the team know that the pop-ups can be overly aggressive, and that the tutorial is holding our players hands too much. We have plans to improve our New Player Introduction ramp, so that is especially well timed feedback to get. Do you have any other feedback, or pain points you've encountered? I'd love to pass them on! Best Regards, ~HVS~
  • Has never failed me

Skullgirls is just amazing the graphics and music, I just got into origin stories and they’re just great, gameplay fits for mobile, instead of having to do special moves like other fighting games this one you just have to tap to attack or use a special I can tell you guys put a lot of love i to this game because some catchphrases go along with who you’re fighting, i don’t know if that was easy or hard but thank you for doing that, and the daily events, they somehow make all the fights you need to do into a certain constellation referencing back on who you’re doing the fight for. Highly recommended and it has never failed me before, never got too boring, it may look like a grinding kind of game but it’s not, if you do think it’s a grinding game, they made it fun and a little challenging

  • Please fix the Dark element Big band

I like the game. It’s sleek, stylish, and plays really well especially for a mobile fighting game. But oh my god is it broken. There are certain characters with abilities that straight up break the game. For instance, the dark element big band gains shield while getting hit, and after getting the shield, stuns you for like, 10 seconds. Leaving you wide open for a combo. Even if he doesn’t stun you, you’ll deal little to no damage because of the shield he gains. Oh and he also has regen too (in case you thought he was too fair). I don’t mind the whole fight modifiers thing in the single player, or the energy system. It’s a free to play game and it needs to monetize itself somehow. And I do think the developers deserve a lot of credit for this game. But it’s also way overdue for a balance patch.

Also, while I’m at it, I think the unblockables really need some way to avoid them. Unblockable doesn’t mean unavoidable.

  • Amazing

This game is hands down the best. I play it everyday not only for the daily login reward but also because of how much there is to do everyday. It’s full of content with some challenges to overcome. Not to mention the colorful cast, every character has their own play style. Each character has an amazing backstory with great supporting characters. The story is absolutely incredible, all these different characters are tied together in this amazing story. The graphics are stunning and the game plays great too. All the movements are super fluid. You can really gets some good combos with blockbusters and specials moves. Each variant has its own ability, allowing there not be the a “best character” they all have a use. I’ve been active on the app for the last 2 years and I love playing, their is never a dull moment.

  • By far my favorite app

This game is gorgeous, addictive, and isn’t a pay to win app. It’s close to flawless imo. Honestly there’s only two things I’d really want to change. Firstly I’d like to get a notification when the game finds me an opponent in rift battle so I don’t have to sit and watch the countdown when I’d rather play a different mode while I wait and secondly I’d love another way of getting keys. I’m at the level where I’m drowning in gold keys from story mode and I need bronze/silver keys. I know event mode might give me 1-2 keys but it’d be cool to have a small chance to get bronze keys in the 4 hr or daily relics just to have another source. Honestly though the only suggestions I have are small quality of life changes and hope it comes across as a testament to how well you guys did on the game and not just nit picking. Keep up the good work!

  • P2W and horrible pvp

Skull girls is a rather good game just like the real game... but the Main problem is that you have to pay real money 95% of everything in the game they don’t give out free characters outside of login awards you have to pay for them with in game money which they tend to cost you a 500,000 for a good character the in game money which takes you forever to get into late game. The drew chance is extremely low to pull a diamond fighter which is bad enough but they force you to spend more money to get the diamond keys which is need to unlock all he passives on the diamond heroes which go for 1,000,000 in game money which is really stupid. You won’t get any good fighters if you don’t spend money on this game! Pvp is broken opponents blocking never attacking into you do , range you into you die and closing the app making your win a draw but that’s not all they some fighters are unplayable in pvp because there grab moves can’t hit if you attack them so you will have to wait 1 to 2 seconds after hitting the foe!!!!! If you do use a grab special it will completely miss giving your foe a chance to beat you! Don’t download this game give your time and money to someone else

  • Pleasantly surprised

This game was better than what I thought it be. Some games in the App Store would require you to make in-app purchases in order for you to make continual progress. However, this game (once you reach I think level 3) allows you to improve your avatars through other parts of the game beyond story mode. The music is definitely nostalgic, in a good way. I have grown to love the characters, and as you make your characters stronger and skilled you start to see things you NEVER expected them to do. Also, the one-liners are memorable for me now. The character design is great, the settings are great. They also give you prizes everyday for coming, and relics. However, sometimes they can send the same things over-and-over again; and while you might need most of it, some of it you might not. Which still isn’t a problem, because you can actually sell the moves you don’t want, and power up your favorite characters with other characters you don’t want. A win-win situation. There’s very interesting backstories, and your given advice on how to compete in the games too. Overall great experience for someone who didn’t pay a dime, highly recommend. (P.S my favorite character is Peacock)
