  • Disrespectful Support

I have been playing this game for over three years now. A solid paying every month customer. It takes a long time to grow and recover after being destroyed. This is fine and understandable. However, I have discovered a bug with the shields (your only defense when you can’t play) where the shield somehow is shut down. I reported this issue and support claimed that I attacked another player within hours after buying a 3 day shield. 1) I was away and my account is secure. 2) I don’t attack other players. So I ask them to review and provide additional info because what they reported was not in my logs. Obviously a bug. But they totally have ghosted me and will not respond. As a customer spending $60US per month, being disrespected like this only tells me this is a dishonorable company with no morals. I will seek refund and file complaint with Apple.

  • Great Game, but has one glaring issue

I’ve had fun playing this game for a few years now, usually making steady progress. The PVP is well executed as you can generally choose if you want to participate in it or not. However, there is a single event that has been completely ruining the experience for me. The Pirate Intrusion event is completely stupid. Your alliance leader chooses the difficulty, and then EVERYONE in the alliance is forced to participate. If you happen to stop playing for a few days and this event pops up, consider your entire fleet (unless you are a top player) completely destroyed. The fact you can’t opt out (or better yet, opt in) is completely ridiculous. I shouldn’t have to play this game daily just to not be reset. To make matters worse, the game doesn’t even autoclaim the rewards! I lost my entire fleet and gained NOTHING in return. It’s a good game, but only if you can dedicate daily time to it.

  • Really good

Not going to lie I was very skeptical about the game and wondered if it did have the features it said it has. I tried and loved and guess what, it wasn’t kidding about for example taking over systems or galaxies. You can actually do that, I am give king this game a big fat 5 star review.

    Good job devs, good job

  • So..so game..but…hard to advance..community sucks

The general game at first is ok, cool to build up your ships and do research and stuff of that nature. Very hard to advance in the game at a certain point, you have to spend money.

Hard learning curb, your typical community really doesn’t help you at all, or generally give advice, the game really workers towards the big players. Catching up to them is near impossible, been playing for a year and still struggling to get by….fun at sometimes, but generally difficult and driven to spend money to get any chance for some game play.

  • This developer encourages to steal from others [READ]

The game is nice and fancy until Galaxy War.. The game is designed to trap you into spending hundreds of hours if you want to grow regardless if you spend money or play for free. This game creates addiction into spending and wasting your time. I promise you will leave the game disappointed you spent so much money after you can’t handle it any longer. Additionally, if your server does not spend much money they will make it difficult by matching you with much more powerful servers who will obviously destroy you and all your hard earned money and wasted time. The events in Elite server stink! Nothing like Standard server. If you want to really grow in Elite, get ready to take your credit card out. It’s the only way. Apple should restrict these kind of developers.

  • Gotten too pay to win

Pros: Nova is a good game in its community, There’s a lot to go down with cooperation, planning, warring, and strategy in general. The aspect of building ships with many different resources and dominating your opponents through these aspects is something touched upon in a unique way by Gamebear. The graphics are good, and the unique pvp events add a level of fun to the game that’s worth experiencing.

Cons: In gameplay, there’s quite a lot of glitches and bugs that can cost you many ships and much effort. The lag commonly caused by galaxy wars sometimes has players lose entire fleets from not being able to retreat. On top of that, many essential items to getting better ships and admirals are locked behind a large paywall. Over time, this game has gotten way too pay to win. If you do not spend a lot, and I mean A LOT of money, there’s simply no way to compete with large spenders. Just one year ago, it was that spending was an option to get cool stuff quicker. Now spending is a necessity to getting cool stuff in time. If you are a nonspender, by the time you get the cool stuff that was released, you will still be way behind the people who spent money to get that cool stuff.

TLDR, Great in graphics, strategy, and community, terrible in its lag, bugs, and pay to win organization.

  • A good one

A good game indeed. Though I will admit it was hard to understand the game since it didn’t had much for a tutorial. I really like how Nova plays with us a server. How we prep up for wars with other servers (which a lot in standard galaxies don’t know.) how nova throws events, and how we make a choice as a server to fight for it, or to establish some sort of event alliance (very handy and very very functional) aside that, the gameplay itself is good, from fleet battles, to the first time ever kraken and simulation. Fun to watch. there are many good things about the game but there are always downsides. For starters, how fleets can be permanently destroyed. Yes, it’s tough when it happens. I lost a lot of fleet power due to it, but I’ve been able to rebuild given time. Not many know they should have reserve ships in case their main fleet falls, or some backup ships. Defense ships are also an option. Another thing is the pay to win thing. I personally don’t see it as pay to win. Yeah, pay to win exists in most game. But you don’t have to pay in nova to do much. Growth is much slower, but us as players must be patient. Overall, good game. Hope the game updates frequently in the future as it is a good game I prefer playing hands down.

  • It’s okay not the best still has a lot of problems

This game had potential to be one of the best, sadly, it’s not. It has failed to make its mark and because of that it has missed its ultimate goal! Nova Empire has been ruined by people who do not play the game properly, so many people want to be leaders and create alliances unfortunately that is ruining the game because there are too many. Worst of all every new server that comes out is filled by the same people on alternative accounts, thus creating the same problems and issues over and over and over again. This is just my opinion everybody has a right to their own as well, I think the game would be slightly improved if you were allowed to create your own universe and allow only those you want in the game friends mainly. I think it would also give the game a bit of a boost if the only enemy you had to face was the Pirates themselves. I love RTS games I’m a massive fan of command and conquer series so that is the reason I’m giving it a five star however, I still hope that the creators of this game read these reviews especially this one as I truly believe the suggestions I made would improve the game largely

  • Deep pockets

This game, bugs and server issues aside. Suffers from the same problem that is inherent in free to play mmo, greed. You need to spend a lot to get anywhere, if you can’t those that can will wipe the floor with you. The top commanders are called adjutants. In a recent event the only way to get one was to spend a lot of real money. This goes the same for the top ships and so on. They’ve also opened up events to the entire players base rather than your galaxy. So again deep pockets needed. You can play free to play, but you will be lagging behind the money players. It Kills it for me. Of course this type of game is now common and Apple love them as they get commission on transactions. They only way to keep those of us on a budget playing Is make it easier to gain things. Which naturally they won’t.
    Update:
Customer service is dire! I tried playing again only to notice the pay to win option has got worse. Every element is now money focused, to that end some of my in game credits went missing. I’ve contacted them 6 times. One response “s**t happens.” I’m so done now. Avoid this game and it’s pitiful customer service at all costs. Or cost you it will.

  • PURE ADDICTION

I can not stop playing this game it’s so fun and all you really have to do is have a good alliance and build up your fleet and station and your pretty much untouchable it’s my addiction I can not stress enough how much I LOVE this game some ideas maybe make new ships classes like carriers and fighters maybe make like orbital defenses personal defenses by orbital I mean personal what these would serve as is a extra defense so instead of having to be a general in alliances when you get to a certain point you can make stuff like Macs around yours base or many more things again when you get to a point maybe have like super structures and mega structures maybe a battle station type deal like the Death Star lol but what I’m saying is I LOVE this game but there are so many opportunities
