This app is awful
We have a Roku Tv and a Hisense Tv and the Roku app actually works. This app connects initially, but once you exit and come back it’s like starting all over again. Please do an update to make this app more useful.jerry90367
Cannot connect to TV
This simply does nothing.
I have spent several hours trying to determine why I can’t connect the app to the TV - the app sees the TV just fine but when you try to connect it just spins a progress bar forever and it never connects. Issue persists through restarts of both the TV and phone, as well as other devices I’ve tried to run the app on. I have verified everything is up to date, verified that content sharing is enabled, and still no luck at all. The app clearly can see the TV and it appears instantly when I power it on and disappears when I power it off… just no way to connect to it.
Ultimately all I want is to connect this to Alexa which seems impossible when their own app can’t connect to the TV.
All the features in the app are of course useless without a connected TV.
Wish I would have known the integration didn’t function before I purchased the TV in the first place.Show lessACG ACG ACG
Won’t connect EVEN IF CONTENT SHARING IS ON
The title says it all. It won’t connect to my TV even though content sharing is on. It can find the TV in the “TV List” but just won’t actually connect.agentsteve

App sometimes does not connect with my smart tv

Inconsistent at best
Works off and on, but when it doesn’t and you can’t find the remote it makes you wanna pull your hair out. I have a H8G and a iPhone 11 Pro both connected over 5G, with no duplicate models in the house. I’m the only one with either specific device and still I can only turn on my TV through the app, once the TV turns on it finally gives me the option to connect to my TV, but to no avail as it disconnects. The app will then proceed to appear as if my TV had magically turned off again when in reality it’s powered on. The cycle repeats and no matter how many times I tell my TV to turn on as it’s the only way the app will allow me to connect it will then say it has turned back off. You want to know the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. That’s this app. Great TV, absolutely dogwater app.
Update: Tried to update and reinstall and now it doesn’t even detect my TV that’s connected to the same wifi band with all the content sharing settings turned on. The developers have no excuse for how much this app purely does not work.Show lesssauce surfer

They listed the H9G as compatible in the app description and yet when I contacted support said there was no guarantee. The app wouldn’t even detect the TV.lachie_0
Mostly works but does not turn tv on
When I try to use the app to turn the tv on it just says “waiting” and nothing actually happens. Oddly enough, I can use the app to turn the tv off.hcmama2
No 'back' in touchpad
This app is OK. Make sure you turn on the 'share content' before use the app. (Developer: please make instructions notable in the app. spent a few min to figure out what was wrong.)
The most disappointing parts: no 'go back' in touchpad mode.... please fix!!!
It also would be great if the default interface is the remote instead of the 'Tv Content' after the connection. (or let users change the default in settings)Show lessCJcj Chen
