Falling in love with the DX7 all over again
Take from an old fart who made his living back in the ‘80s touring and recording with a DX7, FM Player is da bomb! I’m blown away at the realism, ease of use and beautiful UI. I cannot recommend FM Player enough to ANY musician who wants to add a pure FM synth to their collection. Incredible reliable addition to any setup
I’m absolutely blown way by this app. Far exceeded my expectations and has not crashed yet. I use this app daily as part of a sky setup alongside hard synths and soft plugins on ableton. Has completely and conventionally uplgraded my musical pallet. Love itTutnasty
Great sounds, but has power usage issues...
I love the sounds, and have been having a lot of fun playing with them!
Just watch out for power issues.
I wondered why my iPad Pro was suddenly experiencing drastic power usage; turns out this was the problem! I had my Pro fully charged this morning. I pulled it off the charger & stuffed it in my bag and didn’t pull it out until after 4pm. The battery was at 88%, and I hadn’t even opened up the Smart Cover!
Turns out this app had used 63% of my battery usage over the last 24 hours, even though I only played with it for 5 minutes last night (and then watched a movie for an hour). Settings said it had “background activity”. I’ll say!
Hopefully this is something they can fix. In the meantime, I won’t be leaving this app open in the background...Show lesspessex

Coming from a hardware synth user this App actually sounds gorgeous and very deep FM for free. Lots of paid synth app I delete after trying for 5 mins on free side I do this when bored . But this little guy has tone for those jonesing for som FM on a track while saving for one. Or for someone not prepared or enough knowledge of synths yet to to spiral down the FM lane,,But love the tones this is for youShow lessMarsvbar
All the Cool Stuff-ON AN IPAD!!
I run my iPad from my IRig through a large concert pa rig in stereo. These sounds are killer. I had a DX7 and Triton and etc etc and now I carry an iPad Pro and all that stuff and more-editable and save-able and totally recall-able. Easily the best music instrument app ever. The fact that it’s free and open source with the resources to turn you into a developer/creator is chocolate milk with your complimentary donuts.
