Ruined with the update
One fewer ball means you’re forced to watch yet more advertisements. New features (bird, lock and key) have made the game virtually impossible now. As others have said, their high scores set before the update are now totally unreachable under the new rules. I played this game every day before the update, but I’m uninstalling now as the fun is gone. Other games manage to show ads without it being so invasive, and other games don’t tend to release updates that do nothing but force the user to watch more ads than before, through nonsensical feature additions. Used to be good...
This game was a great, simple, time passer that was fun to play. Until this last update, you had three chances to get the ball into the hole. This was a fair and reasonable number; it gave you chances to mess up. With the most recent update, however, you only have two shots to get the ball in the hole. You get two shots (or you get three, if you want to watch a 30-second ad) now. They also added obstacles and holes where you have to “unlock” the hole by hitting a floating key. With only two shots to do this, it is significantly harder. This game used to be a fun, relaxed game but now without the third shot (unless you want to watch a 30-second ad) the game became frustrating and not fun to play any more. More ads with new update
I don’t usually write reviews, but I loved this game. I recently updated it... you used to get 3 chances to make a shot, now you only get 2, and if you miss after two... you watch an ad. They have the option to add a third ball... if you watch an ad. Or to get a “second chance...” if you watch a 30 second ad. It also used to straight up just be shooting the ball. Now, they added a strange flying bird that if you hit it, it takes away your ball, so now you only have one shot to make it until you watch an ad... that is, unless they put the flying bird AND a lock over the hole. YEAH. A lock over the hole that you need to hit a key icon with with your ball in order to open up the hole. Basically if you 1) hit the bird and 2) hit the key to open up the hole... YOU ARE LEFT WITH NO MORE BALLS AND YOU NEED TO WATCH AN AD. You picking up what I’m putting down? Yeah this is ridiculous. I get you need to make money but you won’t be making any from me now that I’m going to delete this app from my phone. What a shame.Show lessjechick
Last Update Made Game Much Less Fun
I agree with most of the other reviewers. I loved this game before the update and would play probably more than I should. It was fun and addicting, and an enjoyable break from a hectic work day. Then the update takes strokes down from 3 to 2 without ads getting involved. This change, that may seem minor, alters gameplay significantly and makes the game much less enjoyable. Now half my time is spent watching ads. I will likely delete soon. Another thing the game had going for it was the simplicity. I didn’t even care about the different style balls, just tried to beat every hole and get a high score. The birds are unnecessary and make the game less enjoyable as well, though not as much as the missing stroke. Overall, I’m disappointed.Show lessdavrben
Entertaining Game Ruined by Update
This was by far my favorite game. It kept me entertained no matter where I was. I enjoyed seeing new high scores. After the last update, the hand is no longer fun. Used to have the shots to put the ball in the hole. Now you have two shots and they have added locks to some holes which require you to get a key before your ball can go in the hole. On those holes, it's hole in one or nothing. You get two shots and you have to get the key and then get the ball in the hole. This game was fun, but now it's frustrating and annoying. Should've left the game alone. I'll be deleting all voodoo games. They care more about making money than making sure their customers have a fun experience. Sad!Show lessB-jellis

Honestly, read most of the other peoples reviews about this game and they’re true, the game did get worse with the new update because of the new features. Part of the update added a key and a lock process, but took away a ball so we’re now down to 2, doesn’t make sense really because the key is in a place where it’s impossible to get a hole in 1 from your combo is ruined. The patch also added a big bird that flies through the air, well that’s just stupidity at its finest, if you hit the bird why not just let the ball go through it, we are getting punished for hitting a bird when it should really be an achievement. Before the patch me and others will have got high scores and now they’re next to impossible to beat because we have been robbed of what we had because of greed, why take away 1 ball just to make us watch another advertisement? Not like theirs enough of those in the game. Game was good,fun and good to play against friends (before the patch) now it’s been ruined by greed. Another game ruined
Yet again another App Store game ruined by adverts and greed.... when first downloaded the game was addictive and fast paced.... 3 shots on every hole was amazing and on the harder holes you often needed all 3!
Since the updated they have dropped to 2 shots and you have to watch a 30second ad to collect your 3rd ball!! Completely ruins the player experience and within a few goes I deleted the app as was just unplayable!! Don’t be fooled either because if you pay to remove ads it still doesn’t fully remove them...

I rarely find a iPhone game I play for more than a couple hours. Infinite Golf was different, it was so simple and addicting that I bought the ad free version. Although in the recent update I find myself not enjoying it as much. It used to be three chances to get the ball in and you could watch an ad for a fourth shot. Now it’s 2 shots and the third is an ad. That has significantly changed the game and made it way less enjoyable. It’s not as casually fun and i can’t imagine playing with ads. I love the some changes they’ve added though. The balls were fun to go for and I can’t wait for more, along with the birds you have to avoid and the keys to unlock the holes. Those are fun ideas. Maybe add some different modes, things like “original” where it’s how the game was at first. Or some sort of challenge mode. Things like that would be fun!Show lessNightsight547
Used to be good
Like others have said, previous simple version with 3 attempts was fantastic. One of my favourite games and lots of fun to pick up and play a few rounds when I had a free minute. New update with only 2 attempts before you have to watch more ads (long ones, by the way) to gain another ball, plus with the keys and birds is just unnecessarily over-complicated and frustrating. This game was really good about a week ago. Me and my friends all had it and it was really fun to see who could get the highest scores, but in the recent update it’s impossible to get good scores. It takes away the fun of the game as you now only get two strokes and sometimes there’ll be a random bird that destroys your ball and forces you to get a hole in one or lose. They also implemented a lock and key system where sometimes you have to get a key before you can go in the hole. This is terrible as the keys are often out of the way and again forces you to hit a hole in one to continue. Good concept, but not a fan of the update. Hopefully it gets fixed.Show lessbran60
