It generally does what it says it’s supposed to. Can access my apartment’s front entrance, gym, and my apartment itself using the app.
Occasionally have had some issues with the videocom, but that seems to have gotten better.

HOA Failure
This app is garbage. Works ok but there is little to NO customer service and support for tech issues. App has been down for 8 days and no answers.

Just horrible
Barely works. Video calls hang up after a few seconds, the door locator has tremendous difficulty locating which door you’re at, no way to disable video without a nag screen any time you switch to the app, there’s no search on the door list, etc etc. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I dunno how a company like Kastle hasn’t fixed their own flagship app. It has under two stars lol
All the responses to other reviews have been “use our help and support link”. Unfortunately Kastle, app reviews are where you get your judgement. Redirecting people to your own awful website in 2024 is not going to fix this. You need to start from scratch with your app and invest some time and money in it

App keeps on crashing
I saw some people say that the app won’t allow them in. I can’t even get to the step of registering my apartment in the app cause it keeps crashing. Also will have to have a word with my apartment complex why they are using an app for entry that has less than a 2 star rating. Fix up!
No as bad as reviews said
As a maintenance manager at a 300 unit community, we had these systems installed 4-5 months ago. So far so good. The only issue we have had is a fob reader quit operating and an issue with phone numbers being ported with parentheses. Both issues were easily remedied, I think the key is reaching out for help.

The worst app
Every single time I open the app, a window pops up telling me to turn on background app refresh, a setting I already have turned on. There is no way to make it stop asking me to do this. It’s so annoying I’ve decided I’d rather just use my fob for everything. From looking through these reviews, this has been a worthless app for years and it has yet to be fixed in any meaningful way. What a terrible business model.

Right outside of my apartment door I’m “not within range of KastleResident door” this has got to be the most annoying thing that’s ever happened to me with this app. Luckily my roommate was inside. Yes precise location was on, and I always permit my location so I don’t get spammed with the pop-ups when I open the app. I can’t wait to move out and be done with this app.

A huge inconvenience
I don’t know why my building decided to install a door entry system that has a two star rating! It’s a huge inconvenience. It has never worked. The entry panel is far too small. The video entry never worked on my phone. Also, it’s a huge privacy issue to have this app tracking your location. Now, I’m stuck with having visitors ring through 10 times until my phone finally rings.

App still hasn’t been fixed
The app has never worked correctly, and on the help page, they give you troubleshooting steps to follow that won’t help you at all; your setting does not matter because this app simply does not work. Please do not use it. Do not trust it is not reliable. You would be better off having an extra key over utilizing this app.

Safety issue
The app is so faulty. I strongly believe this is a safety issues. Sometimes it can take MINUTES to get into my home. What if someone was chasing me? What if there was an emergency? The app will completely remove all of my favorite and my apartment and I will have to log back in and reset all of my doors. If your apartment uses this is strongly suggest you just use your fob. You will have less of a headache trying to enter your home.
