    As a maintenance manager at a 300 unit community, we had these systems installed 4-5 months ago. So far so good. The only issue we have had is a fob reader quit operating and an issue with phone numbers being ported with parentheses. Both issues were easily remedied, I think the key is reaching out for help.

  • The worst app

    Every single time I open the app, a window pops up telling me to turn on background app refresh, a setting I already have turned on. There is no way to make it stop asking me to do this. It’s so annoying I’ve decided I’d rather just use my fob for everything. From looking through these reviews, this has been a worthless app for years and it has yet to be fixed in any meaningful way. What a terrible business model.

    Right outside of my apartment door I’m “not within range of KastleResident door” this has got to be the most annoying thing that’s ever happened to me with this app. Luckily my roommate was inside. Yes precise location was on, and I always permit my location so I don’t get spammed with the pop-ups when I open the app. I can’t wait to move out and be done with this app.

  • A huge inconvenience

    I don’t know why my building decided to install a door entry system that has a two star rating! It’s a huge inconvenience. It has never worked. The entry panel is far too small. The video entry never worked on my phone. Also, it’s a huge privacy issue to have this app tracking your location. Now, I’m stuck with having visitors ring through 10 times until my phone finally rings.

  • App still hasn’t been fixed

    The app has never worked correctly, and on the help page, they give you troubleshooting steps to follow that won’t help you at all; your setting does not matter because this app simply does not work. Please do not use it. Do not trust it is not reliable. You would be better off having an extra key over utilizing this app.

  • Safety issue

    The app is so faulty. I strongly believe this is a safety issues. Sometimes it can take MINUTES to get into my home. What if someone was chasing me? What if there was an emergency? The app will completely remove all of my favorite and my apartment and I will have to log back in and reset all of my doors. If your apartment uses this is strongly suggest you just use your fob. You will have less of a headache trying to enter your home.

  • Cant paste a phone number?

    Why can’t I paste the phone number to add in a new guest? Or better yet look them up in my phonebook. Apparently I have to manually type in the phone number of someone I want to add.
  • What a joke of an app!

    Unfortunately my apartment is using this app. Apparently only the main person on the lease can use the app. If my husband wants to use it he has to use MY information (which then unregisters app from my device) then when I want to go to the gym I have to unregister the app from HIS phone. Like WHAT?!?!?

    Is this for real?!?

    Thank you for your feedback. All unit occupants should be able to use the app from their own devices. Please talk to your property management office and have them add you in the system as an occupant or co-leaseholder. Once you have an account in the system, you should be able to register for the app.
  • Barely works

    Very unstable. Doesn’t unlock doors even when standing right in front of it. Sending QR codes is also inconvenient as one needs to have first and last name. Also not possible
    to cut and paste a phone number from address book/text message, you have to flip back and forth to consult number and rewrite, but flipping to a new app sometimes wipes the partially filled out field so you have to memorize the entire number.

  • Reminders Will Not Tturn OFF

    Every time I open the app it asked me if I want to change my settings. I slept “Not Now” and then I select “Permanently Dismiss Reminders.” Yet it keeps asking me every time I open the app AGAIN if I want to change settings. Ugh! Please fix this bug.
