  • Good app but large data

Your app data size is over 700mb that is huge. You should compress that or at least provide folks a choice of which zones of the state to download updates for. I typically only fish Columbia River and SW Washington so don’t need all zones within the state. I can always add those later if I fished a different area.
  • Game changer !

Me and my son like to fish new areas and new types of fish, now that he’s away in college it shortens our window to spend time together scouting new spots and finding out how to fish them. Being able to tap a body of water on the map and getting to know it’s name, the fish in it and all the regs for that area of water is PRICELESS!!!! Can’t thank you enough !
  • Reloading the app

Good so far just when getting out of the house on a fishing trip and want to check out another spot I can’t load it up to check the regulations only at the house great for sitting on the toilet on the phone but would 10/10 recommend
  • Good but...

I wish that I didn’t have to wait until I received paperwork before I could fish. If I can purchase licenses thru the app why not make my license available thru the same app? I use the maps to find new spots to fish, and sometimes I’m in a fishy spot but need the license to fish. I’d like to be able to make sure I’m legal immediately if needed.
  • Way easier than paper pamphlet!

Been loving using this app to learn the regs of new waters and keep up-to-date on changing seasons and regs. I find it much easier than navigating the paper pamphlet. Latest release works great on my iPhone 7.
  • Way too big

Takes up a gigabyte of storage and doesn’t include fish identification or, as far as I can tell, an easy way to see regular limits on all fish in a simple list from the menu. It would also be nice to have a list or map function that tells all the places you can possibly catch a particular species or at least a list of common fish caught in each body of water. Other than that, pretty cool app.
  • A good start

This is my new favorite app! I am so glad to see WDFW creating content like this. The fact that it’s an official WDFW product more than makes up for the few ads. The basemaps are great and I love being able to actually see where all the crazy stream sections are described in the regs.

    My main suggestions are:
    1. Finish adding shellfishing regulations, e.g. clam digging. Bonus points for listing public clam beaches and including psp updates in the emergency regs!
    2. Make it so you can buy a license straight from the app. Michigan already does this and it’s great - you can buy your fishing license on your phone from the boat ramp. Mind you, they don’t have as much CRC reporting as we do, so I don’t believe they charge a fine on license purchase for an unreturned CRC. But WDFW could easily send a fine by mail for unreturned CRCs, or tie it to an angler’s SSN and require that for purchase.
    3. Make it so we can pay to remove ads.

Thanks, folks! Keep on improving it!
  • Update regs is always an issue

It worked fine last year after release. Latest version opens updates regs and says sync fails repeatedly until crashes. Cant get beyond this. Iphone 6s+
  • Very Helpful

Everyone seems to be frustrated with the bugs that the app is having. I on the other hand think that this app is extremely helpful and if used efficiently saves you the time from references the Regs in the WDFW pamphlet/guide. I like that I can find an area I’ve been looking into. Click on the river and have it display all the regulations for that portion of the river.
  • Fishing a lot

I like the app. Regs are updated instantly. I can click on a river and find out everything I need to know. It only updates when I log into the app so I may have to wait a few while it updates changes. I’d like it a lot more if there was some kind of angler chat and/or fish reports. All in all I like this app
