Glacial progression with nice art
The art and setting are excellent…40k, enough said. And after the first day I did have access to two full playable decks.
However, after a week, I still have the same two decks. Still playing the same campaign, still have made no discernible progress through the game. All the cards that I have received as rewards have been for decks I can’t play because I have not coughed up $10-$20 for the “leader “ that you build your decks around.
While I have no objection to paying developers for their work, this progress is much too slow without a constant drip of money into the game. I will be uninstalling and looking for something with a clearer sense of progress through the game.Show lessViperscho

This game is completely rigged do not waste your time…these reviews are also fake….they remove bad reviews regularly. Don’t waste time or money on this game….the game is completely rigged , it is not skilled or strategy based trust me….every single person at the top is let there by the system because they spend money or because they are game workers/ acquaintances of. Was in the top ten when I first started out and was spending a lot of money….then came back , didn’t spend money , and realized something was off…started speaking out against the game and all the sudden my games and draws were even more rigged…trust me don’t waste your time these guys don’t deserve it or your money…they are money grubbing cowards. Fantastic game and new update is great I just have a few critiques
If you are a fan of the Horus Heresy please give this game a try. It can have a steep learning at first but you get used to how it works. Pick your favorite legion/faction and try it out. Also they have titans. It’s a lot of fun and the draft mechanic is a great feature. The new update is awesome and I can’t wait to see what they have for the other legions.
That being said I would shorten the length of the campaigns just by a bit and also please please please let me log in to my account on my phone and pc again.

A worse and more expensive product
“In the sake of ensuring the progression of new players is not unfair in the favor of veteran players who already have a mountain of cards, we have decided to make most of that mountain completely obsolete and make progression harder and slower than it ever has been. So that it’s fair for new players who just began progressing.”
…which is a terrible shame considering the budget that went into the game’s INCREDIBLE art. What a shame this is the project it goes into. Unless things drastically change, the gameplay loop is not fun enough to justify the changes they’ve made to it as a whole. Avoid like the plague if you’re actually here for the gameplay and not just for the collection of little Horus Heresy art pieces that are somehow never available anywhere else.Show lessNYEH HEH HEH
Uninstalled and not looking back
Like many games, this was the best game until the most recent update. This was my favorite game. Played everyday for the last 2 years. I wasn’t great at the game but loved the gameplay and setting.
Don’t play it. Don’t support it. Corporate greed and push for play to win took over. The game sold out to implement 1) battle pass, and a AWFUL battle pass at that 2) bad UI that makes everything so small I can’t even click on things anymore 3) OP and broken decks to drive sales for new faction rework.

For any new players don’t even waste your at the time I’m writing this I would’ve given this game a 10/10 yesterday but as soon this update hit it turned the whole game on its head now it’s jus ur average money hungry mobile game no different from lost crusade and from what I can say now for any new players enjoy playing as the sons of Horus for a while because the update took out essential systems put in place for new players to be able to build new decks making what should take 1 week will more than likely take 6 terrible to see something fall this far developers should be ashamed hyping up an update that they knew was nothing but a cash grab L game L devsShow lessYouinthejunglebaby
3 years and still play daily
As a person that’s spent 13 years learning about warhammer 40k and 30k I was pretty excited to start playing this game. As I started I had fun but it seemed I had to spend money to get good stuff, now please remember this is 3 years ago and the updates to this game have been amazing! Now with the campaign feature you’re able to actually get better cards for the 18 legions aswell as nice card backs. The amount of content in this game is awesome and yea it’s just a reskinned hearthstone but I find it so luring to reply it, because all the lore backing 30k is awesome and it actually teaches you the storyline and lore. I’ve gotten maybe 50 or so friends hooked onto this game and I hope they keep releasing new content.Show lessKINKYWULFEN
Fair and plenty to do
These days we get a free story mission every three weeks that gives rewards and cost nothing, every two weeks there is a pvp random deck challenge that only cost if you get greedy but has rewards either way, and normal play is good about keeping you playing like player levels. There can be a long wait for normal play at low levels unless you turn bots on, with bots on if a match is not found in a few seconds it spins up a bot for your ranking.
Matches tend to run 8 to 12 minutes.

Fix the campaign for christs sake
It’s a solid card game with some cool mechanics but it is bogged down by some busted AI and some pretty abysmal rewards unless you subscribe to the weekly rewards program ($5 a week). The PVE mode is all but unplayable in its current state. I have attempted to complete the current campaign dozens upon dozens of times now and no matter what I do, RNG completely screws me over. It’s as if the AI always as the PERFECT response to everything I do. It’s disappointing because I love the setting that the game takes place in.Show lessJustshutupandlisten
Breathtaking, Simple, Elegant…
I love everything about this game, it is simply fantastic. I am speaking as one who has not spent a dime in this game. Patience is required to get a good deck going, the R and G isn’t too bad either. From the get-go, I found it wise to get a feel for what factions I liked best, the campaigns do a great job at this - though I would appreciate more opportunities to test drive different factions. As long as you complete the daily mission and challenge, you have a good shot at getting decent cards… Not to mention saving up tickets and doing the events, I recommend saving up at least 10 and then going at it. Even more so, as a growing Warhammer fan, this is the perfect game for me; I’ve learned a bit from all of the cards and their descriptions. While the lore offered in this game is no substitute for the vast and awe-inspiring content from the books, it is still something. As a final note, kudos to the devs for adding campaigns, keep up the good work and do keep this game alive. I am looking to see what comes next.
