  • Works fine

When up on a ladder trying to locate a signal I’m not sure I’m cringing about spelling and grammar issues on a signal finding app. For those of us not born in the year of the Sputnik satellite launch, I don’t know off the top of my head where I should be pointing my antenna.
Direction found and strong signals coming in.

I live between two major markets and was unsure which towers would be closer (it could go either way, depending on which side of town the towers were placed; in my experience they are in outskirts, not downtown). This app was recommended by Wirecutter, so I gave it a try. Here’s What I really liked:

    1. It does not collect data
    2. It provides information specific to my address
    3. I could choose which channels I am interested in getting (i.e., CBS/KENS because they are the one broadcasting the Superbowl today)
    4. I got a visual of all the towers, labeled with the station names
    5. There is an indicator ray starting at my house on the map. It turns from red to green when you line up with a tower… this made it really easy to choose the best window for my needs.

The “helpful” review that this app is worthless if you know basic geography was just wrong. Depending on which station/market I want, optimum placement really could be any side of my house.

  • Only works in US

Looked like Australian service providers but crashes when I put in Australian address
  • App works

Just open the app, put your address and aim the antenna with your phone. Don’t know the channels just experiment or look it up or point it towards the most towers. Works great
  • Does exactly what it says it does

The app does exactly what it’s advertised to do. It shows you where transmitters are located in your area. Each transmitting tower is labeled with the call letters of the station. It even shows you how far away the tower is and the direct line to the location. I’m not sure what more it could do or what more could be needed from an app like this.

  • Doesn’t work

So I downloaded the app and entered my address and it crashed and brought me to my iPhone home page. I tried again and selected to choose my location. It crashed again. Finally I chose the suggestion of near Cumberland (which is where I live) and, guess what, it crashed again. I’m going to search for another signal finder.

  • Excellent Tool for Accurate Tower Aiming

The simplest and best tool for aiming an OTA antenna correctly to your closest/strongest towers. Step 1) Select one or more of the major national broadcasters, which at least one should be on your desired tower Step 2) Line up with your phone and then move both until within the cone drawn on the screen...which will then turn green.

    Job Done.

    What more do you want?

If you don't know what a TV tower is or don't know your TV channel call letters, try a couple minutes on Google

  • Takes guesswork out of pointing tv antenna

Works really well when placing tv antenna. Don’t have to guess and check. Clearly indicates which direction to point using the phone and then match the antenna to that. Worked on the first try. 10/10
  • Great App

The app does just what is stated. The function is a true no brainer. Simply enter your address, chose stations, move your phone for direction, and aim antenna in indicated direction.
