Old players, used all the time, the whole is very good, hope to insist.

After setting up the feeding plan on the app, it provides regular and quantitative food delivery, making short-term travel very convenient.

A really badly designed and implemented app

I’m really not sure what offends me most about this app.

The endless need to authenticate and acknowledge privacy polices. Every time I log into my cat feeder.

The need to do a Mutlifactor authentication on my cat feeder as the app won’t cache the password.

Wanting to see my photos when doing an identity federation with Facebook so I can manage my cat feeder.

Spamming me with useless alerts that you can’t customise. When teaching people about alert fatigue I use my DOGNESS cat feeder as an example. Also my cat goes hungry because the important messages like the feeder has jammed gets missed as it looks like all the other messages telling me to check the cat has been fed the right amount.

The fact that you have lost my login details and my cat feeder is no longer managed, again! Looks like you want to upgrade your app to make it even worse (based on the last two occasions). So I have to reset my cat feeder. But before that I will reconfigure my network to only be 2.4ghz because well DOGNESS reasons. After that recreate all the feeding schedules.

My next robot feeder will not be a DOGNESS

Camera not responding

I bought this feeder only a few days ago. Went against what everyone said to give it a go. Connectivity was easy, feeding seems easy, although I’ve only used it manually so far. But the biggest fault is the inability to use the camera. I tested it by placing an object in font of it and there’s about a 1-2min delay. Mind you I’m using SD so as not to use too much bandwidth either, even though we have exceptional NbN connection. I can hear things in real-time and can speak in real-time, but can view in real-time. What’s the point of having a camera if I cant use it! Needs fixing, immediately.

This app is a nightmare

If you’re reading this review chances are it’s too late to warn you about buying this feeder (not recommended).

The unfortunate reality is you’ll most likely be constantly infuriated by this app.

For example, the way every update will stop the feeder from functioning with the app, and completely wipe all relevant data from your account for some unfathomable reason. To fix this issue there is a length process to log back into your account and add the device you’re planning to use all over again. In the case of the auto feeders this will be a manual input process that moves slower than molasses and has many convoluted steps. You’ll also need to have all of your WiFi network info handy.

However, you’ll want to complete this obnoxious process every time it occurs (frequently) or the feeder will be completely nonfunctional for its intended purpose.

If you’re planning to be out of town for a day or more, do the smart thing and hire a pet sitter. Trust me when I say that you’ll likely have to do that or desperately call neighbors to help if you don’t, because the updates are random and not optional. It’s already happened to me twice and I’ve only had the feeder for a year.

Works well… hahaha

Emailed the company about August of 2023 it’s January 2024 and they still haven’t responded, the support and the app work as well as the product itself.

Which is not at all.

Completely forgot I had the app still, deleting now, honestly take your product and get it refunded and find another brand as these guys are utterly useless.

App is horrible

The app keeps logging me out, upon sign in it forgets my feeder device. It is such a nightmare to connect the feeder to my router. Even though it’s a 2.4ghz router it takes around 15-10 attempts to connect. This is a weekly process for me just to own this product. This app needs a serious fix. So close to returning my feeder or throwing it in the bin.

Garbage update

The new UI is better, but it comes at the expense of actual usability. I now have to repeatedly log back in via the most infuriating multi-step verification process any time I open the app, and once I finally have access to it, the device I have re-added MULTIPLE TIMES ALREADY is missing. What absolute garbage. The whole point of having a remote feeder is to provide pet owners with some assurance that they will be able to feed and monitor their pets remotely. The uselessness of this update renders the device equally useless. Additionally, “support” is non-existent. My advice to anyone who cares about the well being of their pets is to go with a different company.

Not Good

The recent update of this app 3 x days ago has completely disabled its function of my phone.
Zero customer service support via the phone (a dummy number that isn’t answered) and emails referring me to a manual and steps I’ve completed already vs supporting.
Clearly something has gone amiss with the update which will affect everyone with this product. Very unhappy.

Latest update has made it unusable

Have been happy with this product for a few years now but after the update I can’t view my camera remotely which is the entire point of having it

Another update, another problem

Still unsure how it’s possible to continue releasing updates and not fix BASIC issues, such as, connection to the device.
Now the device is detected, but there are no Settings, no access to camera, nothing!
