I USED to be a huge of the Ellipal but after this last update it’s absolute trash. I bought a new one prior to doing the update because I wanted another wallet. The setup process was utterly annoying this time around. I no longer have a swap option and when you hit that little + button, you know the + button that would let you add and takeaway coins well now when I hit that it wants me to scan. So now I have all the tokens that they offer and I definitely don’t use all the tokens, so now I have look for tokens because that + also let’s you organize your token how you like well it use to anyway. Customer service is a thing of the past so I’ll be sending the new one back and invest in something else. Ellipal took something that absolutely great and made absolutely trash.

Customer support

It doesn’t exist. Crypto is time sensitive stuff and their software has failed me twice now with the second time resulting me in getting hacked. The first time was a defect that should’ve been under warranty but they claimed it wasn’t. It’s been a few days since being hacked and I haven’t even got a response yet from email or Twitter. It’s a great device if there’s no software issues or you don’t need support, but if you need help don’t expect it from these people. I just lost my life savings and ELLIPAL is nowhere to be found

We are sorry to hear that. The seed phrase is the master key to your wallet and all the funds in it. If someone else has your seed phrase, they can control your wallet entirely, no matter where they are or what device they use. With the seed phrase alone, they can generate the same wallet on a different device and make transactions, without needing your ELLIPAL cold wallet or any QR code verification. In a properly secured setup, ELLIPAL wallets are air-gapped, meaning they stay offline and require QR code scanning for each transaction. However, once the seed phrase is shared, all the security provided by the air-gap feature is bypassed because the seed phrase gives full access directly. For security, always keep your seed phrase private and never enter it online or share it with anyone.
