The app is fine, it works, and the scooters are handy.
I just called the customer service team for some specific technical information about the Beam Solo private lease program, following an email I received about it. The details in the email were vague and I couldn’t find any info online that covered what I wanted to know. I explained this to the rep who answered my call and he suggested that it would be best to get someone local to contact me, then asked which city I’m in. I told him, and he asked if I’d looked on the website for the info I was after (yep), had I checked out the app (yep), perhaps I should email the customer service team…
I called in order to avoid staring at my phone and tapping on the screen, then waiting for an indeterminate time for a response which is unlikely to answer my specific questions (coz it’s 2023 and chatbots, boilerplate responses, etc, are the thing now). Five minutes later, I’m no closer to an answer and I figured I’d just stare at my phone and tap out this review coz, you know, that’s what life is for in the 21st century.
Yawn.

Safest of e-scooters
I find Beam to be the safest of the rental e-scooters. They don’t start without a good push and don’t accelerate too quickly. The app is in English as well. Highly recommend of the choices available.

Was smooth ride and the newer was good power for bigger guy. Thank you

Walked 1km to get scooter and it was not there. Walked 2kms to get another , missing helmet and barely any scooters in city. I have to walk very long to get one. whole process of getting a scooter took 30 minutes. Would be nice to have website instead of only app, used my data for nothing.
Also app should work offline for more convenience. Not everyone has data
