Very Impressed
I recently spent about 5 hours setting up new shelving and reorganizing. I used InVintory on my phone throughout that process and was very impressed with how fast and easy it was to use. I know know precisely what I have an where everything is. The ability to access the collection via web to add details while referencing producer websites and my order history records is awesome.
All but 2 of the wines were in the database and ~90% were recognized by scanning the labels. It was easy to add those 2 unrecognized wines manually, so I still have them recorded in my collection while InVintory is reviewing for their database.
I noticed a few errors in the database while adding wines to my collection and used the “report” feature to request corrections. This leads me to my one complaint: the wine “type” attribute is not reportable. There are several wines in the database which are clearly “Sparkling” (it’s part of the bottle’s name) but they are identified as “Still” in the database. This renders the filter by wine type feature inaccurate. Hopefully this can be easily corrected.
Overall a great app, particularly for being free. The pay-only features are interesting but IMO too expensive justify for a recreational/non-professional user.Show lessStoutYeoman

Updated Review: Simply Amazing
So when I first tried the app, close to a year ago, it was a nightmare. Their support team had to do most of the work for me and I basically abandoned the app. Well, we just moved into our new home and I have a new wine cellar that’s a really odd shape and I built the cellar in 3 minutes and started fresh rescanning all my bottles. Less than an hour later I had 130+ bottles scanned and organized in my cellar and my wife added as a collaborator. The scanning is a bit hit and miss but that’s fine because the database search is pretty solid. So happy I came back to the app and happy to be a paying supporter too. This is the best app I’ve tried for my wine collection. I love that I can add their approximate locations so it makes find them. And it’s great to have food pairings and drink windows for many (not all) of them. I may pay for premium at some point, but I think the free features are great for my use now.Show lessDoctorCor
Great App, even better customer service
A great app for keeping track of your wine cellars. Easy to use interface with the option to add wines not included. Customer service is very responsive and great as not all wines scan correctly or are in the database. Work with them to add wines and expand the database.Ucbejpo

This inventory app does not only help you track what you have but also help you understand what you drink. I really love the tasting diary prompted when you remove a bottle from inventory. The only feature I would like to see added is the possibility to scan UPC code to add to inventory. After trying many inventory app this one is the best.Show lessGuimauveD

Thank you very much for the feedback! The only issue with UPC codes is that only 50% of wine bottles actually have them, and when they do, they can often be partially ripped off or even strictly unique to the SKU in the store, so we wouldn't be able to recognize it. I hope this makes sense!Great but still lacking iPad app.
We looked at a few similar apps and decided this was the best for our needs. I don’t use the wine notes functionality as we do that in other apps (Vivino) but cellar management is what we needed. We were hoping for an iPad app sooner but I’m told it’s still in the works and hope to see it soon. Their support is quick even with a small team.Show lessgnomehole
