  • Really good, but...

I looked at a lot of wine app reviews before choosing this one. I’m sure adding wines are fast and easy if you buy widely distrusted brands. But If you have/buy a lot of local wine, be prepared to do a lot of new wine submissions. In the end this helps the rest of the area who may get this app, but if you’re the first, as I apparently am, ever bottle is a new submission.

I do wish there was a way to remove a bottle without the “consume” option. Will only let me add. The - is grayed out.

I just started exploring the app so views may change as I dig deeper. This is just first impressions

Hi there, we’re sorry you couldn’t find your wines. We would love to know if you searched or scanned for wines as this could impact results. As for removing a bottle without consuming, you can either left swipe on a bottle to “Remove” which will bring up options for removal such as deleted, gifted etc or you can use the 3 vertical dots (menu) and choose that options from there. Please reach out to support@invintorywines.com because we would love to dig deeper into why you couldn’t find your wines.
  • Getting better all the time

I was using Cellar Tracker but wanted something that would allow me to tag and filter wines using my own criteria, and interact in a more visual way. InVintory fit the bill. I had a few items on my wishlist when I first downloaded and those improvements have been made. Thank you to the developers!

We purchase a lot of wines from small producers who are not in the database but it has been no problem. I like that you can add them manually while the developers review and then add them to the larger database.

In the future I’d love to see the ability to see reviews and drinking windows, but I am very happy with the app as is.

Thank you for the feedback! We are working hard to ensure that our database not only satisfies the quantity of wines out there, but also the quality (hence the review process). Thank you for sticking around to see us improve on things and we hope that you enjoy all of the exciting new features arriving this year!
  • The app to use if you are serious about collecting!

The amount of features that helps you manage your collection and detail in this app is simply amazing. I can’t live without it and recommend to all the wine drinkers out there. Plus they are quick to answer to any issue you may have.
  • Love the new SORT!

This is the first time I am really using this app and so far, I am loving it. The sort function has been greatly improved! Thank you!

I have just one small suggestion: please display the Cellars in alphabetical order. I noticed that during the sort and add a bottle, the Cellars are listed horribly out of order. I like to specify a cellar by the column or shelf name the wine resides on, so my cellar has 10 columns, WC C01, WC C02, etc. However when I go to access them they are not listed alphabetically and are quite hard to find.

But I am loving all the rest of the features! The Wine Past Its Prime is Divine!

  • Love this app!

I love this app. Such a breath of fresh air compared to others in the category - it’s the only cellar manager I’ve actively enjoyed using and that meets my needs without over complication and without bloated unnecessary features.
The team are quick to categorise and add data for wines which aren’t already in the database and there are regular app updates.
I’d highly recommend giving it a go!

  • Thanks

Great product. Easy to use. Quick with good features and above all useful
  • Good app ~ missing download ability

I just got finished adding the wine I have collected to date in preparation of my move back to the states. Really like the ability to add pictures of the label. One thing I could really use is the ability to download to a CSV format to implement into a spreadsheet for use with the shippers.
Any way that could be added?

  • Clunky, poorly thought out wine entry process

Really disappointing. Added my first wine and ran into two problems.

First is that the grape was not on the select list. No way to add the grape. I had to select Other only to discover that they would review the new entry for inclusion in the database. Well that’s completely useless bc they will not be able to identify the wine without the grape. Dumb. Why not let folks add their own varietal? Then the app publisher have enough info to research and add new wines.

Second is the clunky UI flow for adding a wine that isn’t in the database. Whenever I searched for a value that was not on the list and selected add I had to renter the search term that I had just thumbed on my phone. This happened for winery and something else. Not well designed.

Worse, I found a Wine by this winery in the wine list, but it was not in the list of wineries. Causes me to suspect that I’ll see this a lot given the wines I collect.

Tried the scan label feature. Useless. And the app didn’t reuse the picture when I selected to add a new wine.

After raking 5 minutes to add my first wine, not sure I want to use the app given how many bottles I would have to add. Hey I can’t make a full time job of helping build the apps database! And I sure don’t want to spend ages slogging thru a clunky user interface flow.

Cool concept but this app needs serious review from a UI perspective to make it useable.

  • One change needed

Love the app. But it should change quantity to 0 after you drink it instead of deleted it so you can remember to buy more, and have all your wine info (tasting notes etc) still together in the inventory section.

Also can you change the quantity to half bottles? I use a coravin and it’s be nice if I could indicate that some of the bottle has been drunk.

  • Nice app but not very edit friendly

I started using the app to catalog my cellar which was not well organized. In doing so I found that if I made an error or wanted to go back and add data to an empty field the app showed its limits very quickly. Getting a wine logged is simple - scan the label and off you go for the most part. It didn’t take long to encounter a wine that wasn’t in the database. Gerard Bertrand Cap Insula Red Blend Languedoc 2017. Adding it was fairly straightforward though I only added 2 bottles which I had located first. Adding additional bottles requires starting from scratch. There should be a way to just edit the quantity field up. It can be decreased as wine is consumed but not the reverse. Also, adding multiple vintages of the same wine is a pain. I have 7 vintages of one wine and had to add each one as if it were a separate bottle. Please allow adding bottle count and adjustment of the vintage fields. I will add a star to my review.

More to come as I add bottles!

Hi Chris, we're glad to hear that you're liking the app. You can add more bottles by pressing the menu on the label detail screen and we also just added the ability to change your vintage once you have added your bottle.
