App Gives a Hard Time

I am submitting this review to highlight the excellence of the 85 Bakery app, which streamlines the purchasing process. Nevertheless, my initial experience was marred by the inability to redeem rewards or apply discounts advertised for members, a problem that requires resolution by your development team, prompting my one-star review. Additionally, when attempting to utilize Apple Pay on the mobile app, I encounter an issue. The app consistently displays an error message stating that the server does not support this functionality, which I find concerning, particularly given the widespread adoption of contactless payments, as many individuals no longer carry debit or credit cards, opting instead for the convenience of Apple Pay.

Failed Apple Pay

Tried to order a cake from the app. The app suggests that apple pay as an option to pay. I tried to use this and it failed multiple times. I gave up and just use a normal credit card input and that took it. The store i usually buy from takes apple pay but the app fails. Until this is fixed i will continue with the 2 star rating.

I keep thinking this app will get better and better….

I love 85. I go every week with my boyfriend and the app just makes it such a hassle to keep up my points because I have to scan the points on a physical RECEIPT every time I go in. Even when they scan it on my
phone the points don’t go through so I missed so many points and couldn’t get free bakery items that I thought I was saving up for. I think it’s cute how the loading screen is a boba though.. BUT it doesn’t change the fact about MY POINTSSS. MY POINTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

App - no (bakery is great)

Someone in que told me about a one time 50% coupon on this app (found out it was only for specific cake), so I downloaded the app. I started the sign up process, which the full birthdate mm/dd/year are required fields. Really?! Why would I want to give all that private info to a store? It should only ask for month and date. Anyway, I uninstalled this app, but this is not a reflection of my preference for the bakery. I enjoy their bake goods and tea/smoothie drinks. I am still a loyal customer in California.

Bad UI Design

The app is very buggy and there are no ways to look up current or past orders. Once you close the app you can no longer find the information.

Animation after redeeming points

(1) You need to get rid of the asinine animation that shows up after each points redemption. The skip function that shows up after a delay does not make it OK for such a useless and time wasting visual. (2) Why do I have to enter a location each time I press "Order Now". Why am I unable to set a preferred store as default? (3) Why, WHY, WHHY does the order estimate of 25 minutes actually take 25 minutes? I used the app for an order while I was inside the store, and I saw that no one moved on the order for 10 minutes. Do they not receive it immediately? Is this a system problem or the employees just not paying attention?

Old people just can’t use apps

The app is fine. It can be a bit difficult to navigate where things are which can be hard at first. Otherwise it’s fairly intuitive. All the people complaining just don’t know how to use it.

Don’t bother downloading

Please listen to the reviews , unless you want high blood pressure for how irritated you’ll become. Had the same issues as everyone else. Created account, didn’t work anymore, created new one with an agent, gave me rewards, tried to log in later that week and same problem, never again found an agent to help, gave me an email to contact for app, took a month for them to respond to only say “ Create new account” like bruh!

You Need New Decision Makers

For a wonderful food & beverage company, it is so disheartening to see the cause of its downfall being an app that only needed rearrangements and minor updates.

I don’t know which company shareholder or major spokesperson decided an entirely new rework needed to be done, but it was clearly a misguided and/or rushed job. I used to be a VIP and would visit 85°C whenever I could; nowadays, I don’t buy unless I truly miss the drinks and food. This company is lucky that no other major company thought to strike up a challenge in the same field. Your programmers were either entirely incompetent or more than overworked in a time crunch, your decision makers pushed out a product that turned off a major part of your target audience, and many don’t have an incentive to shop at 85°C anymore because of how awful the app is.

Please rework the app again with more time allocated to your programmers—WITH better programmers—all while keeping your audience in mind.

Works but

Work great so far have not had any real problems with it would like to be able to find recent orders easier and also when hoarding online wish the estimated time would be shorter than 25 minutes because sometimes when I get to the store, I have to let them know other than that no issues so far
