CBTL Now Cheating Customers with Revamped Rewards Pgm on App
CBTL rolled out a redesign of their rewards program. Well, when we can argue that you can’t complain over free stuff, the fact that they try to deceive people and pretend that you’re giving more rewards is what is insulting and a deceptive trade practice to lure people to spend money, thinking that they’re getting a benefit when they are not.
If you were a VIP member before today you received a free drink every 40 point or $40 dollars spent. If you did not spend $1000 last calendar year, you were downgraded to a silver status even though you complied with the VIP requirements. A handcrafted beverage now requires 425 points, which is the equivalent of an $85 spend. A large ice blended is now on average $6.78 to $7. If you want someone to lie to your face and pretend you are getting a better deal by paying over twice as much to get a free drink when you are already being gouged. Glitches all the time
I love Coffee Bean! I think their drinks are much better than Starbucks! BUT, the app glitches all the time! I will receive a notification about a special. I will click on the notification to open the app and see it…only to have the app open and get a message that there are no deals today. Or I’ll just open it up on my own to review the monthly perk. And the monthly perk will not show up. Most of the time, if I close the app and reopen it a few times, it will eventually show up. But not always. This becomes very frustrating after a while. And it’s not just me. I’ve spoken with multiple people who have confirmed that the app glitches on them, too. Coffee Bean, please fix this!Show lessme5160
App Ordering Inconsistent
It seems like what is available to order through the app is not based on inventory availability, but the whims of the manager at the store location. My partner and I always get our coffee with oat milk, which we could order through the app for years, but then one day the option disappeared. I figured they were out, but when I got to the store they person behind the counter recognized me and said “Trying something new today?” I told her I could not order oat milk through the app and assumed they had run out. There was plenty behind the counter, the option just disappeared. it stayed that way for a few months, then the option returned! (For a week.) So I started reviewing through the internal app review, hoping someone would notice and fix it to no avail. What is bothersome is that I can select different locations and order oat milk through the app, just not the one closest to us. Since CBTL locations are pretty spread out, this isn’t a truly viable option. I’m reviewing here in hopes that someone in the company will read this and address it… (Our location is the Lake Mead store in Las Vegas.)Show lessContradudelv
