Good app, needs some refinement
Drawbacks of the app. First, you cannot add additional sets. Second, it is difficult to change or add exercises. Third, the supersets can get crazy complicated (mainly arm days with a cable machine).

I’ve been a gym goer for 15 years.
I’ve tried many fitness apps but this is the one I’m sticking with.
A wonderful user interface and experience it makes thinking about your workout effortless. I’m a web and interface designer so this is big praise!
The workouts are challenging and fun but are also giving me the best results of my life! The mix of weight and Olympic lifting gives you a well rounded and satisfying workout.
I did the free trial then paid up immediately as it’s priced so fairly.

Why 2 stars? While I love using this app and the workouts it provides, I have spent the past two weeks trying to get support to respond.
Two weeks ago, I received an email that my “Sign in with Apple” had been revoked by Shred. That is what I used to sign into the app so I now had no way to sign back in. I tried to reset my password in the app but it requires you to know the old password, which I don’t have cause “Sign in with Apple” is a password-less option. I emailed support, they responded and I explained what happened, then they went silent. It’s been two weeks of me bumping them and asking for help but getting no response. I asked for a way to cancel my subscription so I could create a new account, but guess what, no response. The only option for contacting support is through email so I have no other options to seek help here. Knowing how much you charge per month, getting a response from your support should not be this hard.
This has ruined my experience with this app and I no longer want to pay a price for a “premium” service that doesn’t care about the support experience of their customers.
The workout duration does not work!
The app actually provides duplicates of exercises (who does barbell bench presses followed by dumbbell presses?!?), which can result in severe muscle overexertion and injury.
Take your money elsewhere. I left it too late. Changing now. This app is a con.

Hi there — thanks for bringing these thoughts to our attention. A couple things to highlight from our end; we are always adjusting workouts based user average completion time. There are various ways we do this, but it’s always through the lens of effective training. We also have never reacted to one suggestion by an individual user — we act when we identify something from our end or serval users report the same issue (or automatically based on a higher than desired average duration). Lastly, you would only see a duplicate exercise in your workout if you have a Permanent Alternate set, which is something only you can set. We show an “A” icon so you know which exercises are there due to your settings vs. our original workout design. If you have questions, please reach out to support@shred.app and we’d be happy to address more of this with you.
