Where this company might have made submitting a claim easy, instead they made it clunky and awkward. For example, if you submit a claim they make you go through three or four clicks to chose a vet clinic as the source of the invoice, rather than giving you the option to confirm that you were at your primary clinic vs a different one.
My favorite though was that one requirement is to upload the invoice. I have digital invoices but the app can only take a photo of a paper one. When you try to bypass the screen you get a pop up message that the company no longer requires an invoice if you submit via the app. So I took a picture of the dog and I’m sure they will have issues with that. Then again, this is kind of a test case because they won’t pay on this vaccines claim.

High quality pet insurance
We are absolutely thrilled with the prompt and timely service from Embrace pet insurance. Wish we would have enrolled immediately after we welcomed our King Charles……but glad we got it when we did. She has had a variety of issues related to parental genetics…..(no help from the breeder in refunding any part of her medical cost). Embrace has been helpful-timely-happy to explain any aspect of their insurance. Strongly recommend for your peace of mind! And medical expense in caring for your 4 legged family member.

Predatory Insurance Company with Excellent Marketing
Embrace is a company with a singular goal of maximizing their financial profit. Their branding as a pet-centered and customer-centered company is only that, branding and marketing designed to get customers who love their pets to pay them. They will say anything, promise you that the coverage amount you buy with them is more than enough, and then do everything they can to not pay your claims, citing all the small print in their Terms and Conditions. Exactly the type of predatory insurance experience people are afraid of ending up in.
Look at their coverage limits and reimbursement timelines, then look at other companies (e.g., Trupanion) that do not do limits and will pay your veterinarians directly.
Would suggest looking elsewhere for pet insurance.

Exceptional service and response rate
Embrace has been an incredible pet insurance
for us and our dachshund. We have never had a claim take longer than 24 hours to be approved and reimbursed. The customer service is fantastic, always friendly, and always responsive. I can’t speak highly enough. We have saved a significant amount of money by being insured and embrace is honest, quick and extremely fair in their reimbursement process. It has been a weight lifted knowing we can take our girl to the vet when we have concern without having to worry about growing bills. Thank you for exceptional service.

Not worth it
I’ve been pay $85 for about a year and I took my dog for her allergies because she was getting small bald spots. So the Vet took some samples of it to look at under a microscope then gave me some treatment and they sprayed the calmer itchiness. The bill was under $400. I sent Embrace all the paperwork that the vet gave me. They sent me an email saying they needed more documents. This went back and forth for a while. I sent them every single piece of paper that the vet gave me again and again and again. Then they sent me the last email saying she wasn’t eligible for them to pay the percentage of the bill. I wouldn’t recommend them to nobody. I think they are a scam. Why do you need pet insurance when you still have to pay the full price of it out of pocket.
P.S. every time I try to login to cancel them their servers are down every time you click on their emails and it says server not available every time.

Wouldn’t recommend
It’s ok. It’s affordable but there’s so many loopholes they don’t tell you about. Both my cat and dog got sick with GI issues so i had to take a few trips to the ER. I did not meet the deductible for both of them yet, so embrace didn’t reimburse me (which is understandable). I was informed recently that my premium is going up next year, to almost double what I’m paying now. I was also informed initially that my dog’s dental would be partially covered (it’s going to cost me $1,900). When I scheduled the dental, and called embrace again to double check to make sure they would cover it since that’s a huge expense, they said it would not be covered. Just be aware of these things before you decide to purchase embrace. I will say the customer service is actually really nice and professional.

Uploading
It was extremely difficult to get the app to upload the documents. Literally had to keep trying for days because it would just keep saying loading and never go anywhere. This was with cellphone with 5 bars and with trying to connect to wifi. When I call, while on the phone I open the app and it finally loaded but still took a very long time. Also there is no way for me to correct my name in the app. The rep spelled it wrong after spelling it for them. Changing anything on your profile is confusing because it lags and you can’t tell if it accepted changes or not. It is not an easy to use app as is, but with some updates could be good. I finally was able to submit a claim 3 days after, so we’ll see how quickly it deposits.

Evil Company
Embrace pretends they care, but as soon as you cross a threshold of claims that their hidden team of underwriters have outlined they will start pulling reasons out of a hat to deny you against the professional medical advice of veterinarians.
Their claims adjusters get away with crimes that are illegal for health, auto, and home insurers. They see our pets as an under-regulated grey zone to exploit for profit.
Embrace does not value our pet’s lives, they insure in bad faith, and should be avoided at all costs 😔
I will be submitting formal complaints with the appropriate regulatory bodies as pet insurance, and particularly Embrace, need to be held to an objective standard based on professional medical opinion and not the whims of their manipulative, heartless, and ill-informed adjusters.
The app is also slow and unintuitive. They hide your denials and use dizzying legalize to try and obfuscate their bogus reasons for denying. But when you dissect and parse through, the reasons for denying are often transparent and ill-informed.
I have over 10 years experience with litigation against insurance companies, I imagine a layperson would be defeated by their byzantine, gestapo tactics. My partner unfortunately was.
Avoid at all costs, any company has to be better than Embrace.

App is suspiciously buggy
I love embrace pet insurance, but the app is so buggy. It takes an unbelievably long time for each section to pop up when you try to fill out a claim submission. I have to make sure I have 10-15 minutes free in order to do something that would take 45 seconds if the app actually worked. Yet all the other sections of the app load very quickly. Kind of make makes me think the claim submission section is not being fixed intentionally so that customers can’t easily submit claims and get their reimbursement. The company should really be improving this because the user experience is so bad that it would probably be faster to cancel your insurance and get your pet on a new plan than to wait for your claim to load.

Easy to use but the app is SLOW
The Embrace pet insurance app is very easy to use. It’s very simple to walk through the process of setting up your pet on the app and submitting claims. I’ve been using the app for just over a year. My only problem is the process of submitting claims on the app is very, very slow. Constantly waiting for screens to load and buttons to click. Hopefully future app updates will speed up the functionality.
After being submitted, the Embrace team processes the claims quickly. Overall I’m satisfied, but there is room for improvement in the app performance.
