  • Love the content. App needs work.

The gorgeous video and deep content of Nebula blows away that “skip ad” platform. You can dial your own price a bit by shopping for subscription deals, but I recommend paying more…money goes to the creators.

Unfortunately, the apps are very frustrating to use. Why does bookmarking a video completely reload the screen, losing my place in the feeds? Lots of little deficiencies in the player that will remind you of one of the also ran streaming networks. I also really with I could send a share to a non-subscriber. It’s hard for me to encourage my friends to get interested when I tell them they have to pay before they can see any of the awesome content.

I really want to see Nebula succeed, and I hope the content continues to get more diverse and that creators. I want everyone involved to get rich and prove that I don’t need to press the skip button on another insurance ad in order for content creation to be profitable. The app needs to be a quality experience before my kids and friends will give up the feeder bar of easy-mode “just jump in and hit play” algorithmic video.

  • Enable a quality button

This app/service overall does the job of satisfying my curiosity as well expanding on what I know. With regards to features, I need a feature the web application has over the app. I need to be able to choose quality especially the fact that I subscribe to a limited data plan.
  • Bugged

    - App is unusable once a video completes. I have to force close and reopen the app to get out of the video player.
    - when video is playing it is possible to minimize the video. However when in landscape the app is super stretched and obviously has been overlooked at how the app functions when transitioning between the app to the UI
    - watched video status does not update correctly a video has to be marked as complete to have the app re pull information from the website data on what has been watched.

  • Great start - needs some time to grow

I love Nebula, I have made it my primary video platform just because there are no adds! But there are still a lot of things that need to be worked on.

Things like links to other videos and comments under videos is lacking entirely. I feel like especially some sort of community interaction would help build the platform and the audience relationship with the creator.

Looking forward to updates in the future.

  • Love the service. App still needs work

Recurring theme in the reviews, I know. I want to use this rather than YT, but it is frustrating since my normal preference (I’m sure for most people) is full screen viewing, and it’s just so circuitous to get into and out of videos.

I have to tap on a tiny button in the top corner to get the full screen. Pause/play/skip are very small and close together. Most frustrating though is the many touches required at the end of a video to make it go away: first tap the screen to reveal controls; I have just over 1 second to find what I need before the controls clear again; tap the not-full-screen button; now I can swipe down or touch the top left corner, which makes a PIP, which I don’t want because the video is finished, then I have to tap the x in the top left.

I feel like I spend more time navigating than watching.

  • Only One Major Issue

I love this platform and what it’s about, I really do. Letting creators make what they want to make, without having to worry about the restrictions present on so many other platforms, it really leads to some high quality stuff. There is a level of care and value that I just haven’t gotten from any other service.

However, I have one very big issue, and it’s recurring. See, I download nearly all of my videos onto my iPad ahead of time; I’m without signal/data more often than not. Being able to download the content and watch later is crucial for me. However, on 3 separate occasions, my downloaded videos just outright disappear. I am not running low on space on the iPad, and I am given absolutely no information as to why this happens, before or after.

If I could only have videos downloaded for a certain amount of time, I could understand that. If I could only download so many, I get it. Yet, I have been given no reason whatsoever for this behavior by the app. If it were to be fixed, I’d gladly give 5 stars, because I love everything else. But when I open the app expecting my downloads to be there, when I’m away from the internet for several says at a time, and the downloads are empty, it’s nearly frustrating enough to make me want to delete the app altogether.

  • Rubbish app

Ignore video makers that get you to pay for this service, the app is rubbish af.
-Want to quit full screen? Go to hell :)
-want to see everything the service has to offer? Nope, you get what you're given.
    Pffffffffffffffffffffffft
  • App works but needs a bit more help

The app works fine for what it needs minus the issue of not being able to exit a video sometimes and needing to close the app and re launch it to get out of the full screened video.

The content is amazing though and more than makes up for the issues
  • Great Content, One Problem

I love the content on the app and all the creators a part of it, but please add a “Continue Watching” feature so i don’t have to keep searching for videos I started to watch and had to come back to later. Also I think “Saved” videos should be in a separate section from the list of videos of creators I follow, for easier user organization and mobility.

  • Technical issues

Like what your trying to do. But a lot of technical issues. A video just paused cause my phone auto activated sleep mode, and it just became unresponsive. This is like the 3rd or 4th bug in 24 hours requiring a force close of the app to resume video. I also wish you could lock in the quality rather than the app adjusting on the fly. It annoys me it doesn’t remember where I was up to in a series. It also annoys me that search doesn’t save my searches.
