Review appointment Dr Tara Kim 10/18/22
Due to late arrival Dr Kim would not see me for ongoing treatment of my hypothyroidism and nodules present on the thyroid. and both she and staff were very rude in any accommodation of my scheduled appointment. She was in her office, when she saw me she told staff to close the door to her office.
I was struggling to stand with walker and in pain but Dr Kim did not come out to greet me in any way. She told her staff to tell me to reschedule. They gave me November 29 2022. As I was coming in to Lenox Hill Hospital November 30 the next day 2022 for mammogram and US breasts treatment fibrocystic disease breasts thru Dr Faith Menken on that day I could schedule around that to fit in a time for Dr Kim. Dr Kim staff said no, that she was fully booked on the 30th and repeated that 29th was the only time, that she could not adjust her time on the 30th to see me nor did she intend to see me while I was there 10/18. Their last appointment was 4:40pm and that was it. No other times were offered I was really tired and honestly in pain so I just said I had to leave was glad such a new doctor could be so independent from her patients that she no way could accommodate them. FYI I have NYC disabled parking permit allowing me to park close. I have had breast reduction surgery as a treatment in help monitor the development of new cysts in cancer prevention I have never had cancer. A kind patient sitting in Dr Kim’s office during most of this situation, when I left, offered to assist me to my car. I was ok thanked her and made my way on my own. This experience was a surprise as the treatment and care by Doctors and all persons is tops. That is why I make my way in to New York City from Connecticut even though I have not lived here for a very long time.
