Pretty Awesome For the Most Part
The only downside is sometimes the questionnaires and applications don’t exactly match up to my current status. An example: if a questionnaire is asking about a pain threshold with certain activities but the patient hasn’t been cleared for any of those activities, how can one accurately refer to pain when they aren’t doing any of those activities? My point being, the data being collected can basically be pointless and a waste of time if the questionnaire template doesn’t match up with patient experience.
What makes me apprehensive about when a questionnaire doesn’t match up to a doctor’s treatment is there can be this disconnect in what the data is attempting to compile and reality. The data may assess “this patient is now pain free according to answers” when the reality is “the patient is only pain free when adhering to strict movements dictated by their doctor”.
Regardless of these flaws, as long as those reading the interactions between the patient and the app consider these discrepancies based on questionnaires based on general templates, then the app is an amazing accomplishment to the patient experience.
