Reviews of MyChart

  • Great app!

I have been using MyChart for years now and it has been such a user friendly app that keeps multiple medical charts easily organized. It gives reminders of appointments and when vaccines or checkups are due and it automatically adds in your upcoming appointments instantly as you make them, which is so nice because you don’t have to mess with calendars or trying to remember the appointments you make over the phone.
You can read your after visit notes and instructions directly from the app, so it’s great if you are out of the house and need a reminder of anything the doctor may have instructed or prescribed.
It has all the addresses of the buildings that coincide with each appointment and doctor, so you can always look up where you need to be if you are going to multiple appointments or doctors.
The only down side I have found with the app is attempting to make payments through the app to the provider. It is a part of the app that I know is offered, but doesn’t seem to work. Or at least I haven’t had good luck with it.
I 100% recommend MyChart to everyone. Especially if you are managing more than one family member’s charts and appointments. It will save you so much time and energy!

  • The Epic System for Medical Interactive Charting

The system is excellent. I cannot speak from a healthcare worker’s perspective but from the perspective of the patient it is satisfying. I schedule my own appointments and modify them as I desire. I am able to see tests that are due or overdue. I can always access a list of my current medications. I am able to send messages to ask questions or to validate information or negate incorrect information. I can request a telephone visit if desired for non urgent issues that still require collaboration. I can attach my Blood Sugar records to my Apple health and then download them and send them in to my doctor via attachment on message prior to visit. It is especially good for the Pharmacy since they need documentation of compliance for particular medications. I went to an ER in NC and the records were available to my primary immediately. I am so very pleased with the system. It should be connected nationwide. We would not longer have people doctor shopping for opiates or other issues. Docs in one state could KNOW they had the most current information on the patient in case of emergency. It makes my over 65 medical care much easier. Health is wealth and it requires attention to detail and this system is perfect for that.

  • Patient

I enjoy the flexibility of being able to refill meds, schedule appointments and communicate with providers however, there are some things about MyChart that absolutely drive me bonkers! For example, Earlier yesterday, I was contacted by my doctors clinical support person at for my 11:30 am virtual visit @ 11:37 Am to do a review of my meds & purpose of that f/u visit which took about 15-20 mins. At the conclusion of the call, she indicated the doctor was seeing another pt so it would probably be another 15 -20 mins before the doctor could get to me. Then I was instructed to login & answer all of the questions that I had just answered w/ her all over again which took even longer by then the doctor was already sending me a message at 12:12pm stating that she had to move on to her other patients I was literally done with answering everything @ 12:14pm but there was absolutely nothing that I could do about it! So it was all pointless!!

There should be a way for the patient to bypass the feature of ckng in if the medical professional has gone through all of the questions with you because in this situation it was clearly redundant and caused me the benefit of having the virtual visit! Please advise if this feature is available to the medical practitioner who checks to in for a virtual appointment! Thank you!
