Basic app. Certainly nothing special but at least you can see battery level and open safe. Good grief. What I don't understand are the people complaining that you can't close the safe with the app. LOL. I'm not a mechanical genius or anything but think it through people. Understand that the functionality has to exist in the device for an app to be able to do something. How many safes out there can close themselves? Seriously, I'm asking? Programming this feature in the app would probably be easy. Changing the innards of the safe to close I'll bet not so much and you'd probably pay double what you're paying for the safe right now. To me the app is just extra fluff anyway.LeeGeeeeeee
Why no password to enter the app?!
The safe is fantastic and the app would be a nice feature especially since it tells you the battery percentage but it is baffling that the app doesn’t require a password to enter the unlock feature. If my daughter gets my wife or my phone and opens the app she unlock the safe by swiping right?! That is nonsense. Please add this feature to the app so I can use itTocci92

Awful app
Awful. Go back to the drawing board. This has such great promise but even after reading the entire manual so we didn’t have the issues too many reviewers had, the app is awful. The box is great for medium security; great to have keypad and keys on top of the fingerprint scanner (works about 75% of the time; obviously don’t rely on the app.TravelerDeb

My kid plays games on my phone
Anyone with a child in their lives has probably allowed this child to play a game on their phone.
If this child was looking for another game and opened this app, then there is a possibility of opening the safe especially if they are within range of hearing the safe open.
THERE IS NO PASSWORD REQUIRED ONCE THE PHONE IS UNLOCKED. WORST CASE, MY CHILD COULD OPEN THE APP ON ACCIDENT AND HEAR THE SAFE WHEN IT OPENS.
This app missed the most likely scenario for accidental firing of these weapons. A child is significantly more likely to open this safe than a burglar any day of the week.
Add additional access verification within the app before a child accidentally blows their face off.

Can’t lock safe with app
This is a great biometric see that has never given me trouble scanning a thumbprint. The app is a bonus overall, but the most important feature of safety is lacking from the app. Why can open the safe remotely, but not lock it remotely is baffling. The scenarios where you would want to lock the safe remotely outnumber the times when you would want to make your weapons or valuables accessible when you are not home. I really hope that I just missed that step700-Club
App work OK
Read the other reviews and turned off Wi-Fi on my phone like they said and the app worked. Did have to enter finger prints and password manually (password you enter in safe is admin password on app). Once I entered the finger prints and password manually into safe the app stored them automatically. Set up the app first, find device, set up passwords, manually enter the admin password into safe and fingerprints. The app says you can enter through it but it wouldn’t for me. If not try it like I did.*FBhater
Terrible app
The safe is great in idea but lacks when it comes to the app. The connection is faulty and repeatedly asks for admin password after countlessly entering the correct password and scanning my fingerprint. I could see this as being dangerous in the future had there been an emergency. The App developer needs to go through and work out the kinks immediately! Not being able to depend on this app is a burden and seems pointless to even have one to begin with if it is not going to be managed properly and kept up-to-date with bug fixes!Mulatto_Bliss

People are stupid and don’t read the instructions. Be sure to turn off wifi on your phone before syncing via Bluetooth. This is the one tip not not mentioned in the manual.LogicalChaos
