  • Fantastic for those playing by ear!

This app blew me away the first time I tried it. I just grabbed a score off my desk and took a photo. My expectations were very low, to be honest, but it started playing immediately. It had no trouble isolating one staff, and it played repeats perfectly. The interface is simple and uncluttered. It will be particularly helpful to those studying with the Suzuki method. I will be recommending this to other music teachers I know.

  • Crash, crash, and more crashing

The amount of times this app crashes when trying to upload single pages of PDF is astounding. Please do not purchase until they have fixed the immense crashing issues, it’s not worth your money

    Developer Response

Occasionally a specific page can crash. App won’t crash in general. You can often fix by changing the sampling slider (cogwheel). Or contact us at support@organumconsulting.com
  • Perfect for me

I read music very slowly and sometimes have difficulty with the timing. PlayScore2 has not only helped me play new pieces quickly but has improved my sight reading. Soon, it may become a victim of it’s own brilliance and I may not need it!

Glad to be of service until then. Support@organumconsulting.com
  • Amazing tool

PlayScore 2 is an amazing tool to teach with, especially for amateurs who do not have ready access to a pianist all the time. Our small group has really enjoyed the access it has given us. This is amazing for rehearsing on your own and building confidence! Love it! Thank you Artistic Director, Alsager Community Theatre.

  • Great when it works

When it works it is fab! I tend to use scans rather than photographing the music as that is more accurate but still not perfect. It sometimes misses ties or plays two lines together. I have just subscribed to my second year so will persevere.

    Developer Response

If app joins systems it is due to the left side being dark or in shadow. Scanners sometimes produce these dark areas. Use app’s masking to blank this off. Also try the Sampling and Image sliders under cogwheel. Support@organumconsulting.com
  • I love this app!!!

This app is so incredibly helpful with learning new music. I was having trouble with some weird rhythms on a piece, and this app fixed the problem right away. It can skip notes sometimes, or be a little late here and there, but it always gets back to where it needs to be! Thank you so much for this app, it is a lifesaver.

  • Amazing assistant to learning parts

Amazingly easy to either scan/photo a sheet(s) of music and then play it back, with the ability to control the tempo and the sound of each part as well.

  • Exactly what I was looking for

I've only used the import pdf method and the results are excellent. I also tried exporting a music XML file, just to see the result. It worked for the notes & text but the lyrics dropped out. I'll contune my subscription toto the end of the month and let it expire, then sign up for proessional level for a year at a time because it's so much cheaper. Thanks to support who helped me fix the text drop out.

  • Great App When it Works

This is a great app for learning music. I studied voice and opera in college but I don’t play the piano, so this is a great app to use when I’m learning music. However, this app has its problems. For instance, when I’m learning a piece of music (vocal music), the app will be playing the vocal line and piano part like it’s supposed to, but the next line it will only play the vocal line and not the piano part. The app will then go back and repeat that same line it only play the piano part, skipping the vocal line. Other times the app will speed up real fast halfway through a line, or sometimes it will slow down. Other times it will skip a line altogether. Developers please fix this problem.

  • Great app & helpful developer

I was blown away at how this app helped me to rehearse for audition songs when I don’t have a piano or the ability to play the parts! I had a problem with one piece of sheet music and the developer replied to me in the same day to get me going again 😀

It was a pleasure. Thanks for your review. Support@organumconsulting.com
