It’s not working half the time , can’t see the daily activities, very confusing to use

Navigator app is excellent!
The app makes everything easy and clear. One suggestion - increase font size. I keep forgetting my glasses. Holland America makes a great effort to make everything easy and convenient!! Thanks!
Navigator shows the way
Holland America’s app has come a long way. Easy to use on ship or off. Good menu. Having done away with paper excursion tickets they are all there in your app. For those without a phone in hand they can also be conformed by scanning your key-card. Changes to your excursions of dinning reservations update instantly. The app is an essential companion during a cruise, pushing reminders as your plans come up. After the very few bugs are resolved will become a 5 star for sure.

Easy to use.
Terrible app - bizarre behaviour
This is my first cruise with HAL on the Zaandam. First off, the WiFi on our deck (2) is very hard to connect to in my room - beware future travellers. And even if the WiFi connects, the Navigator app just keeps spinning around and does nothing. On reporting this to their Guest Services, I was told that the “WiFi was installed 20 years ago and they can’t do anything about it”. Guest Services also advised me that their IT has recommended that I should leave my cabin door open to use the Navigator app! Way to go HAL IT - this is the most innovative solution I’ve heard in 40 years working in IT.
Other outright bugginess - I tried to reserve the Dining Room for dinner. I see the available time slots and when I submit my request it just says not available or does nothing at all. I go to the Dining Room and the staff says so sorry, there is a system problem and they helpfully do the reservation.
Other weirdness - I have to be connected to the ship WiFi to add daily program items to my itinerary - it does not allow me to do so using my data! Freaking bizarre!!
Goodbye Holland America - pretty sure I’m never going to sail with you again or ever recommend you!!

Frustrating App
This must be one of the most frustrating apps ever. Constant banner at top of screen saying disconnected from Wi-Fi and asking for sign in.

Not well laid out and not user friendly
A good app but improvements needed
First of all, the app is fairly easy to use and follow but there two main problems and a third minor wish.
First, the chat feature should allow you to select many people for a group text. We were travelling with two other couples so that meant repeating the same text 4x so each person got it. Otherwise i would suggest people use WhatsApp.
Second, the text is too small to read without glasses on my phone XL , it did not allow you use two finger zoom in and out.
Third, it would be nice if it had a way of showing the ships location on a map as on the tv screen in our stateroom.
