Outdated for a Fortune-500 company
I am highly disappointed with the Walmart Computer Share app. The sign-in process is a nightmare—when it even works. Everything in the app loads painfully slow, and the entire software and UI feel amateurish and outdated.
One of the biggest drawbacks is that you cannot directly purchase Walmart shares through the app. When it comes to selling your shares, the process is equally frustrating. You are required to enter your bank account information, but they will still send your money via check in the mail, which is not only inconvenient but comes with a hefty $25 minimum fee plus an additional percentage of your money.
If you prefer to transfer your shares to a brokerage, the app only allows transfers via the slower and outdated DTC method. In today’s world, most modern software opts for ACAT transfers, which are faster and more widespread. Unfortunately, the DTC transfer process is flawed—I have been trying to transfer my money for several weeks, and it still hasn’t appeared in my Fidelity account.
Customer service is another major pain point. You have to wade through several automated messages before finally speaking to a real human being, only to find that the representative is unhelpful and passes on responsibility without resolving the issue.
My recommendation: Only put the bare minimum of stocks in the app to max out the Walmart match, and transfer your shares out as soon as possible.Show lessTheLonePigeon
Terrible App
The app has no real data history beyond current YTD. No current month, can’t change dates, no trends, no prior years, can’t see rate of return, can’t compare your contribution vs rate of return vs employers contribution. App is basically useless, just transfer to a brokerage. Also, the app doesn’t work well with iPhone 14 Pro. Once you go into any page beyond the main page you’re stuck and have to close the app. The option in the top left to go to the previous page can’t be clicked. I’m assuming it has to due with formatting and the “island” on the iPhone.Show lessiMurphs
Not chill dude
I am extremely disappointed with Walmart and Computershare’s app and services. They do not support ACAT transfers to outside brokerages, forcing me to either keep my stocks with them or pay a ridiculous $30 fee to withdraw my money. Their customer support is entirely automated, and it’s impossible to speak to a real person to resolve issues. The user interface also seems highly underdeveloped, which is disappointing software quality from a Fortune 500 company.Show lessSuper glitchy

Terrible
The app updated about a week ago and I haven’t been able to log into my account since. It just spins until it times out and tells me to reload the page. It was suggested to me that I uninstall and reinstall the app it deleted the app from my Home Screen but when I try to reinstall it, it shows that it’s already installed on my phone 🤦♀️Show lessMandy_Pandy006
Not working
It wont let you sign in and goes white with a small box that says ‘Generic error, we were unable to complete this process. Please try again later or contact your plan administrator’ and that’s just trying to get inlost1ny3gurl

Why can’t yall make it so we can buy shares through the app anytime we want to instead of making it so we can only buy shares when it’s deducted straight from our payroll. When I see a dip in the price I want to be able to buy immediately but yall don’t give us that option which isn’t fair at all.Brittney😇h
No ability to purchase stocks
On top of not being able to make purchases directly the home button also doesn’t seem to be usable on iPhone 14+ as it’s apparently layered behind the clock so yeah won’t let me use itbonesjj231118
