All in all app and device work as intended and setup was very simple, follow the instructions and you’re done in under 5 minutes. 3 improvements to make this app and device great.

Excellent app, Excellent device
I’ve used this for about a year now to operate my driveway gate, and only have good things to say about it. I now have a second Remootio device that I plan to implement on a garage door. My one suggestion - seems obvious to me, but apparently not to the designers - is that this device should have a feature for “Open now, until <specified time or elapsed time>”. All they offer currently is an automated “Open every <time/date> for <specified period>”. Tedious, and far less useful. App seems to work well
App works well. But with Apple Watch it requires you to have app also open on phone. So if you leave phone at home and go for a walk. You can’t operate with just watch. Very annoying.royceinoz
Ok but needs some improvement
Easy to see install and instructions on website are very helpful.
It works and key sharing is great BUT to be fully useful it should work on CarPlay and Siri shortcut near on useless and you should be able to open garage door without picking up the phone. Auto open does help but I needed to adjust the hours it worksShow lessPJrosco
Almost perfect as gate opener
If I had better wireless coverage it would be flawless, but my gate is more than 100yds from my house. Atmospheric conditions sometimes affects my WIFI signal. However, It was easy to setup and use. If you are thinking about purchasing and you have some technical know how then it is worth a go. Very pleased with this product.Show lessBexusFlexus
Great Device, but watch app needs attention
These apps are great, phone and watch, when they work! Best to keep the phone in cellular unless close enough for Bluetooth. The watch app needs more development, it will only work with the smart phone active which is pointless, then you may as well use the phone(even with background app refresh).

Excellent setting up experience
The Remootio 3 is a great little device. I use it for an automated gate. The app is good and gave me the most trouble free setup of any IOT device I have used recently, much better than those from a major appliance manufacturer for example. The app is missing a few features. The most important is CarPlay integration. This really restricts how useful it is for day to day use. Secondly, it would be great if one could set an auto-close period in the same way as the app currently allows for notification that the gate is open. Finally, the Siri integration is pretty primitive. The current Shortcut simply opens the app. It does not trigger an open/close event. This is not very useful.
All in all, a solid piece of hardware with a decent app. Bringing the app to CarPlay and adding real Siri integration would be a major step forward.Show lessSteven Haines
