The worst fireplace remote and app ever!!

The app doesn’t work consistently with my stove and remote like it should. You adjust the temperature on the wheel in the app and it springs back to its original resting spot(which is zero). Then it says my remote is offline!! I check the remote and it’s works fine and the battery level is strong. Love my Vermont Casting products but their remote is the worst and this app doesn’t help!
