Items Always Gone & Poor Management Syste

I haven’t had the app long, so I can’t comment much on the alerts, but every item I’ve looked at so far is no longer available. When you view an item, you’re redirected to the original site where it’s listed. If you go back to the Free Stuff Alerts app, there’s an option to “mark item as sold.” However, this system relies on users to mark items as sold if they’re no longer available, which I think is a major flaw.

Anyone can mark an item as sold, even if it isn’t, which could cause unnecessary confusion. This option should only be available to the owner of the item. Alternatively, since the app pulls information from other sites, it should be able to remove items automatically when they’re marked as sold on the original listing site. The current setup feels unreliable and poorly managed.

Freebie Alerts app is great! Can’t ask 4 more!

I’ve whitelisted some keywords (and put in my max distance I’m willing to drive) to get notifications of free items as soon as they’re posted and I’ve procured many awesome items as a result. As a matter of fact, I don’t feel it’s necessary to actually buy too much anymore because thanks to Freebie Alerts, I can get a wide range of things for free.
I also don’t have to fill the landfill with things I don’t need anymore but are still functional because somebody always need something I’m giving away. The app posts my unwanted junk (I mean awesome stuff) up onto five different sites so there’s a plethora of potential customers lined up to save my goodies from the landfill.
If you’re tryna get good stuff for free, Freebie Alerts will serve you well because speed is the name of the game. Freebie Alerts pulls listings from all FIVE websites immediately and pushes them directly to my phone right as they happen so I get notified immediately–which is what you need to be the first to respond, which is also what you need if you are tryna get the good goods.

Nocomply

To many notifications that are never ending but all in all not a bad app, if you’re starting out and are skint then you can always find something to put use to , if you have a vehicle to go collect the items.

I like the App…..

The app is great, it has been very resourceful for me. My only qualm is not with Freebie per se, but the spammer/scammer/misusers that seem to filter through Marketplace. In my general vicinity, there’s an entity that creates fake Meta/Facebook profiles that peddle Mattresses and Bed frames, they post multiple times back-to-back, all-day, everyday. Therefore when I look at Freebie, I have to sift through all of their ridiculous amounts posts. (They mark their post as free, when in reality it’s not really free, there may be a “free” element to the potential transaction, but ultimately it’s not free). Moreover, I may be paranoid, but their persistence in posting—for which I report daily—all day long, is not considered by Meta as any type violation per their standards, and this is ultimately an unaddressed issue on their part, but…I think their posts tie to nefarious efforts. I’m not exactly sure what those efforts are yet, but as I said I have my suspicions. Any help by Freebie to resolve this issue with Meta would be great, but understand that it’s not Freebies really, and Meta is probably impossible to deal with at this point.

Obtaining the items

Hello I’ve have seen several items I would like, but don’t know how the site works…that is how do I contact the person disposing of the items so I can arrange to collect? Thanks. Inez Harrison

I collected a mattress from a lady in central London, but it was riddled with fleas which infested my home - it would be nice if people did not use the website to discard their rubbish!

Wrong distance

The distance shown on the post is completely wrong when checked by map.
I understand that you don’t want to give the exact location but at least you can make it close by a mile or two.

Kindness

I love this app. It’s so helpful when people want to give to others without recompense. it reminds us that kindness helps and shouldn’t be taken for granted

My story

I’m am sorry for the inconvenience caused by me I wish I could take it back but I am not perfect and I’m not always sure what the right thing is and what the wrong thing is because it is a very confusing situation I have no idea how I am feeling high and I don’t like it but it seems like I don’t feel like I’m high and I feel clean when I am doing something that is not right or should make me feel high and I don’t want to feel like I’m high or I would have made a decision to do it myself. So if I don’t know what makes me feel like I am high or dizzy how can I fix the situation and not have to feel bad for doing something that is normally wrong but makes me feel like I’m am completely clear and clean. It just doesn’t make sense because I am being honest with this situation and I have tried everything that I can do to not feel high and then I feel like I am so high and I don’t want to

New member

I have just discovered this app every thing looks good and helps people who are looking for different items and could save a lot of money..well done.

Phenomenal

I love this app and can’t say enough good things about it. In the free exchange community, the ability to respond rapidly to a new post often makes the difference in whether you are able to get the item or not. Yesterday we were given a nearly new, quality brand wi-fi color printer which retails for about $970. We were alerted and able to respond within a few minutes to a post on a social media site we don’t usually visit. Last month we received a like-new bathroom sink and a bathroom vanity for our DIY renovation, a desk, and a vintage floor lamp, all thanks to this app.

The app compiles free item posts from 5 different common sites in a running chronological list from a area of a radius you choose. You can set alerts for 12 items with multiple keywords. I’m starting to believe that you can find almost anything if you keep this list updated, are patient, and act fast when something you want becomes offered. (Combining a screenshot with Google Lens can even help find the commercial product for measurement and material specs.) I definitely think I may never again purchase many types of furniture, or appliances and equipment such as an air fryer, paper shredder, or treadmill.
