  • Heard good things - couldn’t get it to work

    I heard a lot of good things, did some research and decided to buy a month on the app. Couldn’t get it to do anything! Kept giving me fail on the two digit course. Had a few of my instructor friends try with the same results. Couldn’t get to move to another section or try something else in the app. Wasted about an hour with it and no improvement.

  • Worth the investment!

    I earned my license ~30 years ago but haven’t flown in a couple of decades. For less than the cost of an hour of flight time, PlaneEnglish is helping me to regain communications proficiency so much faster than I would if I were to sit next to my CFI and wait for a communication opportunity to arise. My confidence is returning with lightning speed. I wish I had this when I was learning to fly for the first time!

  • Great when it works

    Amazing to learn with but just a little buggy. Record button doesn’t work sometimes, ATC vocal instruction sometimes cuts out and won’t work. Resolve the bugs and it’s a great app
  • Great way to learn.

    When new ios came out. It was crashing a lot, Stopped working at some point. But got in touch with customer service and they fixed it and gave me a month free for the inconvenience for the delay I couldn’t use the app. Great service!
  • Great program, really good for real IFR exposure

    I don’t see a lot of IFR time while building hours and this program keeps me sounding like a pro. I would have given it 4 stars due to some improvements I think that can be made but a quick email to the creators and they are working on it as I write this. Before you give a bad rating contact them if there’s something you fee could be improved.

  • It’s a great app, but I have to pray for it to open

    Don’t waste your money. Please read other reviews too: It’s a great app and a great idea. However, I always have to uninstall/install it to make it work. I think I wasted my money. I really wish it worked…

    JFReyesRZ, the latest updates greatly speed up the launching of ARSim. The initial download after the update can take about 3 minutes, but after that you will now see it launching in under 4 secs. Happy to help if you're encountering any issues. Thanks!
  • AMAZING tool!

    This app has helped me, beyond belief, in becoming more confident with my radio comms. Cost efficient, and you have access to effective training at the tips of your fingers 24/7. This is a must for any student pilot!
  • Pretty useful, needs some work

    Before using this app I was always timid of towered airports and always forgot what there instructions were, but after using this app it’s almost second nature. However there are a couple glitches that kinda mess me up. for example for one flight it kept bouncing back between 2 different aircraft types and callsigns, and for several others it said “flight incompatible with airport” or something along those lines and canceled the whole flight, even though I had random settings on.

    TLDR: very helpful, be patient sometimes

  • Great for student pilots

    Are use this for about a month straight prior to starting my helicopter pilot training. Whenever it got time to talk on the radio and eventually talk to a control tower, my flight instructor was extremely impressed with my proficiency. I knew what to say back to the tower without him having to prompt me. I can honestly say that my initial comfort level using an aviation radio is completely thanks to this app. 11/10 would recommend.

  • Don’t Update The App

    Have been using the app to study for my IFR rating. Generally good, pretty expensive though. For those of you working toward a rating and having a “day job” - a LOT going on. Whatever you do don’t update the app. In my case it required me to re-enter user name, password … didn’t recognize my subscription. Tried again - multiple times and no luck.

    The developer is quick to respond but doesn’t seem to understand the issue. I have a current IFR subscription and they think that the issue was because a prior subscription had expired. Simply not the case.
