It’s great, but could be a bit better
This app seems pretty okay from what I’ve used from it so far. The concept of merging a pixel art character creator and a character sheet service into one is super convenient. However, the app could use a lot of performance upgrades. It often feels like the scrolling isn’t very smooth and that some inputs (sliders especially) are fairly unresponsive. Furthermore, I still have no idea how to unlock the full standard version. I might be missing something obvious, but I’ve tried looking through the options in the drop down menu to no avail. Also, clicking on a locked cosmetic item and trying to upgrade my account just shows me a pop up of the free account details instead. I’m sure that this app is worth the time, but I don’t know if I can actually recommend it until after the updates it needs for improving the end user experience.Show lessEnergy boost
The Best Reason Not to Use Trees
This is a phenomenal tool for Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, or any home brew game at this point! I was a little annoyed to find out that it was $10 dollars to fully upgrade it, but after I bought it, I had, and still have, no regrets. I was amazed to find that I could even customize the hues and tints of items (and bodies) to be any color of the rainbow, black, or white! I put in an old character I had, and copy and pasted the abilities of a rogue and wood elf from the internet for him, and was off. This is the single best app I have used that even relates to Dungeons and Dragons. My hope is that they (the developers) are not finished with this app yet, as I want them to add the armor and shield of a Roman Legionary, or a Hellenic Hoplite. At least a Corinthian helmet? But if they were done with this now, I would completely understand and return to this app every day to create images and character sheets characters. Update: 76 characters and counting. This app is so much fun!
I mostly use the character creation without the sheets. It is so much fun to see what can be made with the options available. Ironman, Spock, and the Joker are just a few of the characters I came up with! And plenty of fantasy characters from my favorite books. Thank you so much for making bard options! I am having a great deal of fun. Some if these are in use on virtual rpg tabletop platforms for gaming sessions during COVID-19 social distancing. I get to see my characters in action on the board. Has potential, for sure!
Seems like a really cool app! I played around a bit with the free edition and wanted to take it further and actually buy the standard edition; however, when I tried to pay for it, it turned out you don’t support mastercard. It was very disappointing- but I assume this is a problem which you are working to solve at the moment.
Despite not being able to unlock the standard edition, however, it was really fun and cool to be able to realize my DnD character in this way! Much appreciated, and keep up the good work!

Loads of fun!
I started off with the free version, but wound up purchasing the full app an hour later because it was so much fun to use. I’m not very artistic, but I enjoy sprite/pixel art, and this app allows me to create a huge variety of characters to my liking! It has tons of wonderful armors, clothes, weapons, pets, and bases to really be able to make some special characters.
The only gripe I have is that it can be difficult to hone in on specific colors you want, due to the sliding scale used to adjust saturation/tint/brightness/etc. And that’s not the developers fault at all! By giving us the option to change all of those features, it allows even more creativity, so a little patience is all you need to overcome this!

Epic Pixel Art!
The main purpose of this app is to allow you to create and visualize your characters in an iconic, easy, and artistic way. And it definitely does that. That being said however, I wish that added more art more often. I’ve only had it for a few days, but I wish they had more options for things.
If the developers are reading this, we need more hair! And the ability to add multiple items from one category (cloaks or pets, for example) would be extraordinarily helpful. I wish there were more poses, people sizes (adult vs child), etc. but I understand that would take an enormous amount of work modifying equipment and such, so I won’t stretch my dreams too much.
Nevertheless, I gave this app 5 stars. It’s still being updated, the developers are active, and the artwork is fantastic. A well spent $7 (I got it on a deal)!!!Show lessMagicPineapple

We'll strive to add more art and keep improving the app for as long as we can. And we're currently working on the feature to be able to add 2 items for certain slots, we're hoping to have something to share soon! As for more poses and sizes, you're right that it does take significant effort because we're using pixel art (compared to 3D models), but we'll consider it carefully and if we find a creative way to support more body types and poses, we'll definitely do it! I love this app but I can’t buy the full version because it requires a paypal account or a credit card. I figured it would use Apple funds so I bought a Apple gift card and wasted my money :(. Great App
This app is great. Even just the basic version was enough to spark a good amount of creativity for creating characters. The full version, however, has so much more. There’s a wide variety of gear to kit your characters out with, some of it I can see some possible inspiration from other games like Dark Souls or Soulcalibur, which is awesome in my opinion. The pixel art for all of these pieces of equipment is also really good. It could easily fit into a full game, or being animated slightly even.
The biggest issue, which is fine for a free app let alone one developed by what I assume to be a moderately sized team, if not one person, is that it’s a bit glitchy. Sometimes the art will disappear, mostly with the face art, or the sliders for coloring something won’t have any effect unless you reset it w few times. But despite these small problems the character art and customization more than make up for it.
Also, I emailed the dev with an issue I was having and they responded within the day, and were very friendly about helping me to boot. So if you like friendly devs and want to support them, get the app.Show lessAurelianKnight

I LOVE THIS APP!!!!! I have gone through about 20 different character sheet and database apps for 5e and none can compare to the user friendliness and intuitive design this has to offer! Seeing a demo and standard version at first made me skeptical about the app but this was quickly erased once I saw the creativity put in to this app. I gladly payed the seven bucks (discount from 10$) to unlock everything else. I will recommend this to everyone who plays dnd. My only criticisms are more of possible ideas for the app is to add a “child” feature for races and to continue adding content (weapons, armor, etc). Two really cool includes would be to add mounts and monsters but as separate characters for custom armor and such. For me personally its because I play as a paladin who always has a warhorse. Up until recent that is. New dnd book provided a dragonlord oath which provides a dragon as a mount. Again app is incredible and everyone needs to pay these developers so they can keep up the great work and keep giving amazing content. P.S. for developers. Is there a subscription? I would love to give something back in to hopefully motivate in adding more content.Show lessCryoguard

After spending $10 I can say that I’m fairly disappointed in what this app has to offer customization wise. You cannot select traits or features instead having to type them in, but even when typed in they do not update your stats based on the features and traits you’ve entered. You have to manually update your stats and to do that you need to reference another program that knows what it adds than come back to this app and put that information in. Pretty redundant to have to do that, there’s not much of a point in using this app if you’ve created your character in the DND beyond website. This app is also missing a large amount of spells and cantrips. For something that costs $10 is expect updates to reflect what’s actually available in the DND world. Overall I’d say this has very limited functionality and really is not worth spending money on it if you’re hoping for the functionality that dnd beyond has even as a free service.Show lessNeganTy

You're right about the fact that a lot of content that exists in the PHB is not available in the app. That's because we were limited to allow content that is found in the SRD due to copyright reasons, we had to remove quite a fair bit of content due to this. That being said, most of our Reroll users use the app first and foremost as a way to visualize their characters, but if that's something that you feel is not worth your money, I'd be more than happy to issue you a refund.
