  • Grid expanding

    I’m not sure if its the app or my iphone, but when I tried to expand the green square to request airspace recreational for the area I need, it doesn't seem to work and maps just moves. Any solution would be helpful?

  • Awesome customer support!

    Jon and Kevin are great, I have just started using the app and had a small issue with an airspace LAANC authorization. I got on the chat and they quickly responded, answered my questions, shared helpful information, and help me better understand my next steps. I absolutely love that I can send in my questions and I know I will get an answer or support even on a Saturday. Really happy with this app, that you fellas!

    App is just as good as the old one. Anyone leaving low star reviews is clearly just having frustrations learning their way around the new app. Development team is very helpful and responsive!
  • Best app for LAANC

    I loved this app from the start it is so easy to easy to use and is always adding new features. I was very pleased to get into contact with support right away and the team helped me figure out any technical issues that I was facing.
  • They haven’t made a functional app in years

    To date, they still have menu buttons and choices that do not fit on the screen. Everything is out to the edges, I literally cant click on menu options because it’s OFF the screen. When I try to search for a drone to save it to my profile, they have no registered drones to select from so I get stuck without any options to choose from. I type “DJI” and it must be that must that this drone manufacture is too new and unknown to be on the list. Would be cool if the app worked, but nothing here does.

As our platform is setting all-time record activity and usage levels (we recently crossed our 1 millionth LAANC), this could be more of a device or account issue. In the meantime, feel free to use our all-new web app -- https://air.aloft.ai/ -- where we also have advanced functionality and features. Just use your same login credentials to access.
  • Poor Business Practices

    Never received a notification for change of TOS. Recently received an email that read like ransom that stated unless we pay into their enterprise program, our accounts would be deactivated in 7 days.

    We were then gaslit and told we received plenty of emails. We had not. We used none of the features in the enterprise program, but we’re essentially told that they were being lenient with us already. Unfortunate, but we, along with any drone-centric company we know, will not be using this platform anymore.

    There are plenty of free options available on the market. In the future, we may use the paid functions of those software. But we certainly will not be bringing our business to this company.

I know we went over these terms of service changes that went into effect over a year ago on various email threads with you and your team, and were happy to continue that conversation at any time. As it relates to the app store and the Aloft community who may see this, we want to call out that yes -- it is part of our terms of service to charge enterprises to use the service. We do this for a number of reasons (business, legal, support, and otherwise) -- but perhaps one of the most important is that it enables us to provide free services on Aloft, B4UFLY, etc. to hundreds of thousands of individual and recreational drone pilots. If we aren't able to charge businesses like yours that have huge operations, it's a detriment to the entire industry. Hope that helps and happy to engage in further discussions at any time. Fly safe.
  • Great Customer Service!

    I was having some difficulties with the app so I sent an email and surprisingly heard back within just a few minutes. The issue I was experiencing was fixed and I was able to get the waiver I needed!

  • LAANC Circular area

    If you would just turn your LAANC area into a circle instead of a square! Other than that, this is the best app for LAANC approval. And don’t respond with “You can do that on the website”. We want it on the app!

  • Fantastic Updates Recently

    The new Air Control website is awesome for a lot of my more advanced planning, but loving the new app updates. The new live streaming is a game changer for our ops!

  • Can’t log in

    I keep trying to use this app but I get error messages every time I try. At this point it is less than useless it is a waste of time that could be spent flying. I think they are getting friends and others to write positive reviews to keep the rating high.
