Do not use them if you’re looking for a professional therapist that want to help you
I went through two therapist. The first one was fine but she kept canceling and she said she’ll call me back to reschedule and never did. The second one was just rude. She contacted me at 8 at night pressuring to confirm for the appointment when it wasn’t time yet. When I ask her to please contact me during normal hours, not only she snapped at me, she said she’s dropping me as a client. You’re expecting someone to help you? Don’t
Plus that got issues with billing and they tried to charge me instead of waiting for my insurance to come through. Do not use them. You’re better off using better health or find something in your area to help you.

Not informed
I tried this app because I saw an advertisement and was at the time looking for a counselor. I set up a session, gave my insurance information, and thought they took my insurance. Did the session and they sent me charge like I had no insurance. I spoke to an agent who pushed back my due date as far as possible. I didn’t hear from them until the bill was due saying I needed to change my billing information. When I found the billing information I clicked on one of saved card numbers and paid the balance with my card already on the profile. Immediately afterwards I deleted my account and will never use it again even if I have insurance that it takes in the future. I hope people read this review and use the information I provided and make sure that it takes their insurance before doing anything so they don’t get charged like I did.

Unsustainable Cost
After providing my insurance information, the app quoted me roughly $40 out-of-pocket for a session. I scheduled a one-hour introductory session with a therapist, SonderMind ended up submitting a $250 claim to my insurance. My insurance covered $120, leaving me with a bill of $130—far more than expected. This cost is just unsustainable for regular therapy sessions for most people, including myself. I recommend looking for a therapist at a local practice with fairer pricing (that can be sustained) and a more client-centered approach.

TERRIBLE APP!
I’ve used Sondermind for two years due to a lack of other telehealth options that aren’t also garbage. Finding a therapist through Psychology Today is definitely more effective. The app is terrible, every action in it is slow despite my gigabit speed wifi, you cannot reject the matches it produces for you even if they don’t fall within the realms of what you’ve requested in a therapist. Psychology Today, on the other hand, is the location where most therapists pay to advertise. Unfortunately it does also lack the ability to filter by specific credentials, which is incredibly challenging for me as a client that prefers a PsyD over an LPC/LCSW.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I did not have a good experience with SonderMind. They make it extremely difficult to cancel your “memebership.” Your therapist will schedule future appointments so when you try to cancel your membership, you will still be charged for those future appointments until your are “discharged” by your therapist. I think this is extremely inappropriate and wrong. It took weeks for the company support to respond to my emails and they are still trying to refuse giving me my money back. I never received the sessions and still paid for them. When providing them with text message evidence that my therapist was the one running late so I asked to reschedule they still haven’t responded to my emails and considered me a no call no show. Do not use this company.

customer service? doesn’t exist
my co worker talked highly of them so i gave it a shot. my first therapist rescheduled our appointment three times when in total i only saw her once. the second one explained a lot of weird conspiracy theories. they didn’t go through my insurance the right way so they charged me $77. when i reached out trying to get my money back and figure it all out they wouldn’t respond. right now they are trying to charge me again on something THEY did. you’re supposed to help my mental health, but you honestly made it worse.

Fix bugs!
Screen jumps around as I’m logging in so I have to me a magician to press submit in time before it switches screens to my saved passwords after I’ve already logged my password in. Like, seriously? CLUNKY! Also, funding therapists and pricing was not as easy as it could have been as I recall, and I needed up using the website on a laptop instead.

HORRIBLE!
They bill you late. Then all at once and expect a large amount at that moment and if you don’t, you can’t attend therapy. I have emailed them for WEEKS to bill me for sessions months ago and all they can email me and say is it’s “processing”. You can’t even speak with someone on the phone regarding your claims / payments anymore its all via email and they take DAYS to respond. The app glitches and shuts down. HORRIBLE. Brings extra mental health stress dealing with this horrible company!

First meeting on line with Chrissy Bosley
I am very pleased with how our first meeting went. Chrissy and I seemed to communicate very well with each other. I couldn’t get the video on my side to work I could see Chrissy but she could not see me. Hopefully tomorrow I can have it working right for our second meeting. Thank you, Jan Falcone
Grateful
To be able to confide in someone is difficult; to be vulnerable is also difficult, for fear of judgement or being labeled. I feel that with each counseling session that it becomes easier to just be me. This allows me to open up past scars to heal properly. It’s not the counselors technique it’s her heart of wanting to help and we are building a connection that makes this counseling work. I am grateful for my counselor for going through this healing journey with me. Grateful!
