  • Love this app!

The options are endless - amps, speakers, effects, and the ability to customize the sequence. You can custom make any sound you could possibly want. If you aren’t in to customizing your sound, the presets give you lots of great options in any genre. Best in class, the gold standard!
  • Still Has Glitches!

Have been using FX1 for rehearsals and recently live too without any problems, in fact I am really impressed with it so I thought I would give FX2 a go. I had seen the reviews which have not all been positive but as most of these were written shortly after release two years ago I hoped any teething problems would have been sorted by now but unfortunately not. It is still very glitchy with lots of crackles unless the buffer size is increased. This in itself is fine but if a buffer size of 512 is selected, which in my case makes it run fine, this setting does not save when you turn the app off! So you have to change the buffer size every time you start the app, which is frustrating. This is bad enough but I have also noticed it intermittently changes buffer size whilst using the app. This makes it unusable for me and I would never trust it enough to use it live. Positive Grid have also changed the live view system and how you select midi toggle. This means that in live view, on the second row of pads it no longer shows what effect is selected by what pedal. So you have to remember what effect you have registered to what pedal.

All in all I love the Bias Effect apps but I will continue to use FX1 which I believe, for the reasons above, is far better than FX2!

  • Buyer Beware

I recently purchased all of Positive Grid’s products (bias fx2, bias amp2, jam up, spark) along with all of the elite packages respectively. I did this on my iPhone bc at the time of purchasing I didn’t have my iPad around. I assumed by purchasing of ALL of their products and packages on my iPhone that I would have the same access to these paid packages on my iPad. Not the case. I am being asked to repurchase everything again if I want to use it on my iPad. I don’t have much use for all the money I just wasted for the iPhone app as the iPad is obviously more suitable and capable. Hopefully I can have my purchases removed from the iPhone and transferred to my iPad. I will keep updated.

  • Wish it had au3 function

The sound of the app is great and the ability to download different presets Is awesome. They have the best community of presets and are fantastic and easy to download. As stand alone app this is the best by a mile.

The interface is beautifully designed and looks great.

The positive grid spark amp is the best practice amp.

However. I mainly now want use the app for home recording with a daw app such as cubasis3, I’m finding the inter app function useless and outdated.

Therefore I’m not using this app for recording anymore and had to purchase another guitar app that supports au3. This for me is a major downside, if it had the function to use the awesome au3 function, it would be a game changer and this would be my only guitar app.

I’m finding using inter app time consuming and tends to crash. I’m now only buying apps that support au3 moving forward, If it supported au3, this would be the ultimate guitar app and have a rating of 5/5.

    Please upgrade to au3.

  • I still can’t believe how good it is.

I came from a very low income family growing up. Loved the guitar since I was two years old. At the time when I didn’t think it was going to be possible to play guitar with all the gear costing as much as it did. Bias closes that economic gap for those that want to but just can’t justify putting out the money. Because there are just more important things to consider, family, bills, you know life.
Because of Bias Fx I am able to come back to the fold. The technology today is so awesome what was not possible yesterday is a reality today. Thank you!

  • Mind Blown!!!

This app blows my damn mind. So powerfull, trustworthy, easy to use, great for live performance, amazing for creating your own presets, amazing artists presets from around the world. Crazy technology.
  • Bias fx2 as a go to rig..

Started using my iPad and iPhone instead of my line 6 helix lt.
I’ve got a IK stomp single pedal and an IK stomp io
I use the pedal and iPhone at my rehearsal room saves me lugging all my gear around..
The sound quality for me is excellent and portability is a no- brainer..
Excellent addition to my set ups. This will be the future of preAmp FX for most guitar player and it is a fraction of the price of stand alone multi fx pedals .

  • I feel robbed

I’ve used first version of the app for years, also using desktop one on PC. Few years ago I’ve purchased Bias FX2, but have not used it much. Today I’ve launched the app first in a year and turned out the developer downgraded my version of app. Basically I’ve got stripped out of almost all amps/effects/etc I had. When I try to use my old presets or amps other than Rectifier and some Marshall, the app asks me to purchase that. Purchase again what I already paid for.

  • Love this app!

I’ve been using this app for years But I’ve noticed some issues recently. For instance the metal pack with loomis and merrow overdrive pedals do not work correctly. If you turn the gain down they shut off. Also the bias pedal feature isn’t working correctly. When I import a drive pedal it completely ruins the sound of the amp. For instance if it’s a high gain amp tone and you place a bias pedal overdrive in front of the amp it makes the high gain amp into a clean guitar tone. The settings on the pedal will not change this. Hope this helps improve the product. Other then this it’s awesome and the best iOS has to offer.

  • A magnificent feat of engineering

I’ve been historically reluctant to venture into the digital modelling arena thinking it was somehow inauthentic (no sixties dust on the amps) but I’m blown away by this. The amp sounds are fantastic it’s incredibly intuitive and has a very user friendly and aesthetically appealing layout. For the price it’s just ridiculous and you get a free trial. Try it you won’t be disappointed as they say.
