More feedback. LUMI wants your feedback sanity and your soul

It is absurd. Absurd. Preposterous. How. Many. Times. I have been asked if I’m enjoying myself. I’m on day one of this app and it interrupts me after every. Single. Two three minute lesson if I’m having a good time. No way to turn this off. If I say yes. It goes away and comes up again and again. If I say no would you like help or to give more feedback?!? Seriously. This is unacceptable and makes me not want to even do this. I’m on day one of using this and it’s making me incredibly frustrated. So now I’m stopping to review your app. Not that anyone I’ll care or make changes. You want me to give you my feedback and won’t stop asking me. So I will just give this and maybe your other potential customers can decide if they want to give perpetual feedback. I am a customer. I will get ahold of you if there’s a problem. If I’m not complaining take my positive review and leave me alone. I’m so peeved that in 2024 we can’t do better than this. Technology. Alllll the data on the app you have about my progress and usage. Yes. I’m enjoying it. But will I keep this and keep using it. Not likely if this pop up continues. Rant. Over. Until it asks me again in five minute. I’m annoyed.

Hi there, we're sorry to hear about this issue. You certainly shouldn't be receiving this request so frequently! Could you email our support team at http://playlumi.com/support if you continue to experience this?

Gets difficult really quick!

Being new to piano the difficulty of the lessons and the one game gets extremely challenging way way too fast.

I’ve noticed the advanced songs don’t show finger positioning which is too bad because it would be fun try these songs at 0.5x pace.

One thing that is severely lacking is not having foot pedals.

But all in all it’s a fun way to learn and the portability is fantastic for us people who fly a lot.

Crashed app

The app still not working after its latest updated, what developers have responded to the reviews here is not true at all!

Works well — lessons spike hard

Great app, lots of fantastic material.
The difficulty spikes pretty hard and a reminder why having lessons with people can be helpful.
Also all the songs are covers—just so you know.

Also, I wish that this app worked on M1+ Macs. It would be a better experience than the iPhone.

So much fun!

As an Adult learner, I am highly motivated to learn. But let’s be real. Starting, and maintaining a new habit. Carving out time and learning a new skill. Way more complicated than it sounds!

But Lumi keys makes it so much easier.

iPad plus lumi keys equals music lessons!

Also… the lights not only help in teaching (cause the note you are supposed to play lights up) but they also make it more interesting.

Not getting bored playing something simple is huge. Especially when beginner piano music tends to be so patronizingly simple it’s hard to stomach.

Not saying the music selection is that much better.. but there are accompaniment tracks playing with you, bright colorful lights, and moving parts on the screen.

This turns it into a video game and light show all at the same time.

I LOVE this product and can’t say enough about it!

Thanks for your feedback, we're so pleased to hear you're enjoying learning with LUMI :)

Awesome learning app

Got LUMI keys for Christmas and I absolutely love it. I’ve never played before but am finding my LUMI experience so enjoyable. Everything is broken down and I can repeat sections until I feel I have mastered it. I can do as little or as much as I like. It’s given me a new interest. Tutors are engaging and sections are quite short. Love it.

LUMI KEY

LUMI key has helped me to learn how to play the keyboard and tells me how my timings are. On top of that it encourages me to keep on trying. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to become a great musician.

Adding pressure and pressure is a great thing to have a positive experience

I like the app so much !

Little to do anymore without a subscription

Like others, I was an initial kickstarter backer. Also like many people learning an instrument, I'm not very consistent. As a result, a subscription just doesn't make sense for me. But that's fine. I figured, there's lots to do here for a beginner! I can learn a little, and, when I'm ready, when I feel like I've learned enough to really want to expand my skillset, I'll subscribe.

But now there's only one song: the most basic form of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star you could imagine. I can't believe I backed this, bought something, and can't even use it now.

Mistakes were made. Hopefully I can just learn to play with it a different way.

Not what it could be

This is so inconsistent you learn a piece of music one time it pauses and only moves on when you play. The next section won't but there's no consistency. Next you play a piece where the notes will move down again for one section of a song it will pause for another it won't no warning if it will or not no consistency. Why does it insist on always playing the note regardless of if you hit the key or not no you can't actually hear silence if you miss a note - no idea. Why can,t it show a good clear representation of each hand and notes at same time - no idea. Why can't you choose to play every single Song with it only moving on when you hit the right not, rather than when it decides to do that one section of a whole song - no idea.
