  • If your contemplating getting this game read this!

Ok I want you to read this because I see so many reviews about this game complaining and the thing you need to know about this game before you get it is that it’s grindey so your going to have to play the same world over and over until you get better gear or until you get better at dodging the enemies just like any other dungeon crawler. The game is supposed to be hard duh and I haven’t once seen the microtransactions been shoved in my face. Really the game is mostly about improving in your skill.

  • Play Archero instead

This game is fun for a few hours, except for having to watch an ad every minute or so in order to play. But then you hit a wall at level 5, which is typical in micro transaction-fueled games. The devs increase the difficulty beyond the progress of the player without paying for upgrades or grinding for days. I’ve been on level 5 for over a month now and I still die at around the same point every time I play through. And that’s after upgrading my equipment every chance I get without actually paying for it.

Just play Archero instead, which is the game Mr. Autofire was attempting to mimic in the first place. It has fewer ads, more enemy diversity, smoother progression, and very few ads from the beginning.

Overall, this could be a good game if the progression was fixed, but either the devs just got it wrong or they got greedy.

  • Microtransactions need work

This game is truly wonderful! However the most busted part of the game is microtransactions. The level scaling mechanics seem to work well and reward long term diligence playing, but every offer is exorbitantly overpriced. Nobody wants to spend 30 or 40 dollars on a single purchase. They need to make a few of the items cheaper so that users looking to pay stay interested. If there were more deals that were better priced, I'd have spent probably 30 dollars on this game so far, even if I'd only have gotten a few epic items out of it. But if the only offers they sell that yield good items are 30 dollars, I don't like spending that much at one time. Sure there are some cheap deals, but they have horrible rewards.

I understand that this is much intended to keep "pay to win" out of the picture, but the higher levels still require lots of skill so cutting prices won't do much besides bring the developers more money. As somebody working in marketing analytics, I think that a more profitable business model that restrics "pay to win" to a large extent would make the game more satisfying for players who like a bit of instant gratification, as well as the developers who will greatly profit more in the long run.

  • Phenomenal but infrequent bothersome paywall

Fantastic game, super enjoyable, I buy the season passes but with such an enjoyable game the energy cap could be upped a bit IMO, idk the cap increases further down the line but it’s very disappointing when I’m dedicated to a session and I run out of energy, and the amount of time it takes to unlock a new character is insane, I understand money has to be made and I definitely support it by purchasing season passes and the occasional lower gem packs just to contribute but lowering the paywall to keep playing and unlocking characters would be the only thing I could think that would improve it, in my opinion anyways, either way, back to playing!

  • A great base game

After playing for a decent amount of time I felt like giving some feedback. The core of the game is great, it’s a nice change of pace from the isometric roguelites that are similar to this (Archero for example). The 2D platforming style works surprisingly well. However I do have a few gripes. My biggest one is that the game gets very very difficult pretty fast. Now this in and of itself isn’t so bad, the thing that ruins this though is that progression is INCREDIBLY slow. Earning gems takes forever and new gear or hero shards are exceedingly rare. I think if there were more ways to earn gems it would definitely help the pace of the game, but as it stands I feel like I’ve hit a brick wall, which is no fun at all! The other thing id love to see are more unique weapons, perhaps a shotgun or something like that. I eagerly wait to see where this game goes

  • Peaked?

So I’m just gunna say that I really enjoy this game. I play it all the time and it’s really fun. However, I am stuck on the same level(world) whatever you wanna call it. I die in the same spot every time seems like no matter what upgrades I have or what character or gun I use. I’ve been trying to beat this level now for almost 3 months straight playing at least once a day. I’ve even broken down and spent real money just to get better weapons/upgrades etc... but I still don’t seem to get any further. I’ve gotten to the point now where it takes so much money and weapon parts to upgrade my stuff that it takes me a couple days of playing just to upgrade one piece of armor or weapon just once just to still die in the same place. I’m not sure what else to do at this point. I don’t want to delete the game but I’m just at a standstill. I’ve never experienced this on any other game I’ve played...Even on console games. Hopefully the developer will see this and maybe help me out haha! Or maybe just a re-evaluation and update to the game would be nice.

  • Great Game!!!

I honestly love this game, it has that platformer feel with great graphics for its genre. The play style is great and it runs smoothly. Currently the only thing I’ve noticed is that on “blocky planetoid” (world 5) the big yellow monsters with red shells’ crit hit box is broken, every shot is a crit , though I’m sure it will be fixed soon. But what I really want to see is a shop like the merchant but in the lobby, and it should be worth a large amount of credits rather than 300 diamonds for one weapon part. But other than that I have no complaints. Great game!!!

  • Full of ads

This game has potential but oh god, its full of ads everywhere.
Its fun, addictive, and their developers have a good thing going, but the ads makes the experience sooooo painful.
I would say, yeah you can pay for the “no ads version” but still it doesn’t remove all of the ads because it states “you will still see the ads you choose to see” which i think are the ones necessary to get powerups and feee chests... which is pointless...
I would think the game with all the micro transactions it offers it would be fine without ads, and it would make this game so much more enjoyable.
Let’s see how much more i can stand watching 1 min ads each 5 mins of gameplay...

  • Pretty stingy

Man, the drop rate on items is so slow and so bad that I’ve played the game for over a month, reached elemental castles multiple times, and still haven’t accessed new characters from their shards. I’m guaranteed a single shard from reaching level whatever. And that’s after playing three times on the weekly event and missing the key completely. So I don’t have the option to get those shards because I can’t even rng the friggin key, but when I do, the castle isn’t giving up the goods.

Weird also how tougher levels seem to drop loot just as often, or less often, than lower levels. Meh, will probably delete.

  • 1 star because I need the company to see this

So this game is really good, it honestly is. I don’t hate this game at all, my thing is though the free chests that are available do not have nearly as much advertising as the ads that come up during runs, it says ads are unavailable 95% of the time when I try going for those chests and end up getting access to them 4 days later which makes progression a lot more slow. I’m not saying I don’t mind pushing on harder levels with everything I’ve got because this is a great game that is challenging and makes you think and learn to compensate as you’re weak in newer stages, but there are not enough means of acquiring items consistently as the free chests imply. That’s my two cents, I trust that more ads will be redirected into going towards the free chests to keep them consistent for the player base. Thank you for this game, please fix the free chests not getting ad support to allow for players to get the free chests
