Shipping

Yes buying as an international person sucks on whatnot. Plus you have to the shipping charges, as they fluctuate in price. After the first purchase is made the shipping price is supposed to go down to free. IT DOESN’T!
My shipping on the all the purchases said free. Then I noticed that they charged me a lot. Put in a complaint with whatnot and they asked for pictures of the purchases. I said if I knew I needed to in case I was being ripped off I would’ve took pics of them.
So if you do get this app and start bidding, be careful and watch the shipping charges

Free international shipping is not available at this time, as orders are subject to local customs fees and taxes. You can see all shipping charges in a live show by tapping the Shipping & Tax button under the item name and description. Whatnot as a Canadian

Really a greedy company when it comes to shipping, I would advise against anyone in Canada buying on whatnot unless you are ready to get slapped with ridicules shipping cost then a custom fee on top. Purchased about 10 vinyls from the USA, and have to pay 100$ shipping? Is this a joke, I pay less shipping from items coming from China.

Starts of good then down hill

So I started this great app. Got my first sales. Made over £500 and got a seller rewards bonus. Now I can’t withdraw my earnings. No matter who I contact. No matter what method used. No payouts. No body can seem to help. Whatnot has my money and can’t resolve my problem. Until it’s resolve. 1 star all day long. I’ve been in contact with Stripe and I have proof of email stating “Whatnot has revoked your stripe account) Be careful guys and girls. It’s not as good as you think.

Overseas shipping

Shipping to Australia is 30 dollars aud, which I think is crazy. They could add promo codes for free shipping over certain amounts, that would be a good fix. Otherwise good app, needs more sellers outside USA though.

Great app and product

I use this app weekly to buy trading cards and have nothing but all good things to say about it. Great sellers, friendly fun and when needed great customer service. I did not mark it 5 stars only due to the fact on some occasions when the seller had taken an age to dispatch, even though policy states within 3 days, whatnot does not take action or fails to see this and then waits more time for the seller to respond. If you have a policy enforce it! Apart from that, would highly recommend for those into the hobby of trading cards.

Fake goods. Help is slow so far trying to resolve

Bought form a seller fake trainers and fake clothes. Whatnot initially responded telling me to get the appraised as fake. Seller protection is not as good as eBay or others so far they are slow to respond I know my sneakers and street wear they are 100% fake. Seller blocked me when I questioned it. I just want my money back come on whatnot sort it out please

Not friendly to international customers. High shipping rates. Giveaways are offered free for U.S.A. users. giveaways for international users, are not free, and sellers are not willing to spend the high shipping rates for international giveaways, so you are able to enter. Same thing applies to buyers giveaways. Not accessible for international users.

Terrible customer service

I decided to use this app to sell my own clothes. It’s been 2 months and I haven’t received a penny. I emailed 10 times explaining that I am not a business owner and I need to set up a PayPal ; instead they sent me 40 sec video which was created 2 years ago of explanation how to log in with PayPal. To clarify, the app has changed it’s defaults and the video wasn’t helpful at all. Very disappointed.

It would have been fantastic…

I think the app is a great concept that no other platform offers. I love that I can scroll through categories to find the things I like. I loved the Disney Pins category, but then it got merged into a general Disney category, which makes it hard to find what I am looking for. I am a little frustrated with the review process, I have left 5 star reviews for almost every order that I place, but when I gave one 3 star due to product quality (particularly smell) on multiple different orders from one seller I get blocked. It just doesn’t seem very ethical that by giving honest feedback I get banned from viewing shows. Even if it was the seller that blocked me, I was not longer able to view other people’s shows, too. I guess I don’t understand what I did wrong :( Makes me hesitant to review knowing it could result in me not being able to shop on the app. The giveaway process is also a little sketchy. I see the same dozen or so users winning every giveaway. Maybe they spent more money or are long time users, but I would have thought it would be a random selection tool for sellers to use. Sometimes I wonder why I bother entering because I know I won’t win.
