It’s true no vpn can be completely anonymous but Mullvad comes surprisingly close. Monero and cash payment options, a TOR onion site, and no automatic renewals. If you want privacy above all else use Tor browser, buy Monero with cash, and then buy Mullvad on their onion site. Also it’s a solid vpn with plenty of locations and industry standard encryption methods. I will be using Mullvad exclusively whenever I need a vpn!

I want to give it 5 stars based on the speed, the ad blocking, and the ability to manually set the DNS. But the lack of two features is driving me nuts — favorite countries, and streaming servers.
I have two countries that I need to switch between often, and they’re located pretty far away from each other on the list. It’s a pain in the hole to have to scroll through the whole list and find the country each time I want to switch. I’ve tried pretty much every mainstream VPN app, and Mullvad is the only one that doesn’t let you set favorite locations.
The other big issue is the fact that none of Mullvad’s servers seem to work for most streaming services. There are a few French series’ I watch on Netflix, and I’m going to need to keep my NordVPN subscription if I want to access them.
I’ve had other vpns in the past and non have came close to the majesty of this one. It’s fast, works wonderfully and they have an amazingly simple privacy policy. And, it’s OPEN SOURCE!
Great performance, but not flexible at all. One thing it’s missing is the ability to automatically disable the vpn on certain networks. For example, my work blocks VPN connections, so I have to disable the vpn every time I get to work and after I leave. It makes it quite a pain to use — other vpn apps have this functionality.
I used to have to reconnect multiple times before I was able to had the VPN properly.
This latest update seemed to fix it, thanks!
I wish that it would have an option to automatically change server/location after X amount of minutes. This would make it substantially more difficult for google or other companies to narrow down where a user is based on behavior.
For example, if my gmail and my google searches are both routed through the same VPN, it’s not very anonymous. But if my location is scrambled regularly, it matters less.
Whenever I try to use this app, it takes several attempts to connect - sometimes several minutes. I’ll select a location and it tells me it’s connected, but when I attempt to use the VPN service, it won’t connect to the internet at all. I have to switch locations several times to finally get a connection and that sometimes takes a few minutes. Seems like this app needs some work - will be deleting.
No frills, nothing complicated, reliable and quick. Worth every penny especially compared to the competitors. Also, shout out to Sanny who replied to my support email within minutes when I encountered a small issue. You guys rock
