Couldn’t get my money for a house closing!
Eventually, one agent was able to assist, but even she couldn’t assure me that I would be able to wire the funds for my closing. Given this uncertainty, I transferred my entire balance to another bank, which could issue a certified check. This process, however, was equally painful—I spoke with 11 different representatives before finally being able to move my money.
While I valued the high interest rates and ease of use with Marcus, what’s the point of a high-yield savings account if you can’t access your funds when you need them most? This experience ultimately led me to close my account.

No transaction download feature
As a user, I needed to share my last 6 months' statement. Unfortunately, the mobile app does not have filter or download statement features. Additionally, when I request 6 months' transactions on the web app, it downloads the full statement from the beginning of the account creation, which is not what I expected. It would be very helpful if these inconsistencies and missing features could be addressed.
Love Marcus, don’t like the update
However, with the latest update, I’ve encountered an issue that has been quite frustrating. The app no longer provides the previous option where it would show the overall account balance from all accounts at a glance. This feature was incredibly convenient for getting a quick snapshot of my total financial status without having to manually sum up individual account balances.
While I still appreciate many aspects of the app, the removal of this feature has been a significant drawback for me. I hope the developers consider bringing back the overall account balance view in future updates.

Amazing HYSA
However, with the new update, it no longer states the total in all of your accounts at the top. Which I don’t like that. I want to see how much my total savings is. I hope they put it back. Also, my second favorite is with capital one. I wish Marcus would show an accrural amount up to date each month like capital one does. I like watching my interests grow daily until the payout. It’s not a dealbreaker but would be a nice feature.

- slow to produce annual statements for use in my tax return. The app tells me that I can download the 23-24 tax certificate but when I look at the documents section, only the 22-23 certificate is visible
