A/C is cold however...
The unit itself works very well. You are able to control the unit from your phone after the device is connected to your WiFi network. I like that when I leave work I can cool my apartment before I get home. I’ve heard issues with no compatibility with Alexa or google, I don’t use those, so I cannot comment on that. My only complaint is that the app constantly logs me out and I have to re-enter my password which is an annoyance, it is frequent. I bought the unit at Costco for nearly $300. I’m pretty satisfied with the product but I do wish the app worked a little better. Also it does read external temp is 102 at all times like other users have stated. I feel the unit does not display an accurate internal temp either. I usually keep my unit off eco mode and the fan on high speed. It does the job of keeping my apartment cold and that’s what I bought it to do. The bonus is being able to control the temperature away from home and it does an excellent job of that too. Horrible app design
The app consists of broken English and is super buggy. You are constantly being signed out and need to sign in in order to use it, it is super annoying and inconsistent. I do not recommend this app at all!qeeyjvewfh
“Your account didn’t be activated”
When I try to create an account, it just pops up with a message saying “your account didn’t be activated”. When I press ok, the message just pops up again immediately, and the app gets stuck in a loop. Piece of garbage.anandasata
A nice surprise
Yes the registration was buggy and didn't send me an email and instead chewed me out in broken English but I didn't even know this had WiFi. It tells me the temps accurately and controls the unit from afar. Quite well actually. That's all I neededMatt S da 3rd
WILL NEVER BUT DAMBY AGAIN!
I only bought this AC because it says it connects to Wi-Fi and it works with Alexa and Google. I spent all day Setting up this AC and while the AC works great, the app does not work at all. Don’t count on the WiFi
Bought this unit based on the ability to control and program from WiFi. It drops off the network every couple of days and you have to reinstall it o to the network. You can’t do this quietly like if your children are sleeping. The unit cools very well, but that wasn’t the only reason i bought this one. Also, the instructions aren’t great for operation. I still haven’t figured out how to turn off eco mode without using the app.Show lessukevr

Terrible App
Takes for-ev-er for the app to “connect” to the Danby servers. Lots of time out issues (both on and off WiFi). Lots of disconnect errors that force you to re-enter your password again. Literally the worst app design I’ve seen to date. The AC unit is trash to. I bought it at Costco so I’ll be returning it come October. Avoid like the plague!!!Show lessAbsentandy
Terrible
This app is terrible. The temp monitoring is terrible and the schedules don’t work. It worked for about 2 weeks before it just stopped. The AC works great but the app is just terribleWild Spirit
Such a horrible app. Will not buy another Danby Ac because of it
Bought the AC because on the box it states it will work with google home or Alexa. That’s a lie there’s no option to link with google home or Alexa. In addition to that the app will randomly log you out. Judging by some of the reviews doesn’t seem like Danby cares because months later the same issues with the app are there.Show lessbootsncats24444
