Drive Smart App
The app used to work better before the update to fix issues I wasn’t experiencing. Now it’s back to telling me I’m “over the speed limit” every few minutes when I have it set to don’t tell me. And it consistently drops my 360c radar detector or says it’s out of range just after it’s connected for a brief moment. Way to go backwards on an app update. It also freezes and gives no current location or speed limit information.Goingtothelimit
Not bad… little issues
I have had this app and the M2 dash cam for a while now. I don’t have issue connecting. It works relatively well. Videos look amazing. Only negatives are: App is a little slow at times. I see no navigation function everyone talks about even with all the updates & newest equipment. It will not allow me to connect my brand new dual pro360 radar to it, which it says will connect to the app.
I’ll be honest. I don’t care about the navigation crap. It being slow is understandable still being relatively new. But the top of the line brand new radar not being able to connect for me to use it with app & camera…. I’m very disappointed with that. Specially since it claims it will connect on their site.
Over all though if looking for easy dash cam app to work with m2 camera & have amazing quality….. no issues there. Looking for more may want to wait until they fix stuff.Novartiz
The amount of time spent sitting and waiting for this thing to load is ridiculous
And then once it loads and you click play a video immediately disconnects from the device while playing the video and you have to go through a entire loading process again to watch another video.JDubDev
First review
This is the first review I’ve ever written. Supposedly there is a gps function through map box on the app. You can’t even search for a location let alone choose from any of the categories. Second, it says my firmware needs updating. So I download it and install it, but the firmware version doesn’t change. And still says it’s not up to date. I did the process like 3x with no change. I even checked the firmware version on the camera. So there’s no way to update the firmware I guess, maybe unless I hook it up to the computer. Gah! This camera and app is so frustrating.XR99
Horrible, doesn’t work
Id give 0 stars if I could. This app pretty much makes the Dish cam useless. It can’t find your cam to connect, and if your FINALLY able to connect to the app, it won’t let two users log into the same account, review footage, it just doesn’t work. I’ve had this for two months and have successfully used it ONCE. 100% wish I bought a different dash cam brand instead of investing in this pointless junk.Disappointed1453653
Needs update for gallery
Just got the cobra dash cam downloaded the drive smarter app go to look at the gallery and it just county to load nothing comes for what should be the most impolite of the app it doesn’t work needs to be fixed389peterbilt
App is absolute trash
Never loads properly and you can’t get anything off of it. If you want something then you’re better off hooking it up to your computer. Super inconvenient. I got this 7 months ago and it’s never been updated.. just seems to be getting worse?rfsams47
Abysmal
This app does not function . At one point in the past I was able to connect to the camera and download footage. It has never worked after that. To add to the frustration, when I tried to set up the camera as a new device it said “ device is already registered to an account” well yes my account but it does not connect.Emrakool
App is a battery hog!
Sucked the life out of my 13 pro Max within a day. Never had an issue like this. Have to delete the app from the iPhone and redownload it when the m2 needs some kind of maintenance…. This is not the Escort quality I’m used to (for the last 20 years). So frustrating!Chuck Fields
Horrible App for Escort M2
Nothing works. Period. Plus if you want to “try” to do live video on a phone, you have to connect Wi-Fi to the device, which then of course ruins everything else you’re doing with your phone in the car. Going to delete the app just pull the memory card if I need anything from it.Gary2680
