Don’t buy this product!
Why make something so simple complicated? The app does not work. Waited so long to get this just to be unable to use it because of a subpar app that is required to use the device. TRASH!!!
Messy and intrusive
The camera software requires you to register, and on top of that is filled with clips and what appear to be social networking features. It’s distracting, confusing, and an unnecessary privacy intrusion.
Just give us a simple app that allows us to record video, control the gimbal, and otherwise stays out of the way.
I’m returning the Smooth X over this; the hardware is nice (if limited), but I don’t want to have to deal with this messy app.

Downloaded the app, tried to upgrade to v1.86, couldn’t, so ended up with a gimbal that doesn’t work. Frustrating!
Terrible device and customer service
The gimbal broke with a month and customer service is terrible. The ap is not user friendly either. I would NOT recommend this headache to anyone.
Unable to download firmware
Everything goes well until it told me that unable to download firmware! Cannot use my smooth x!

Bought and won’t do anything. Won’t let me download the firmware. Very disappointed!
Big disappointment
Bought it, downloaded the app and won’t download the new upgrade, can’t use the app nor the gimbal...
Firmware will not download
I have removed app and reinstalled it many times. Turned off my phone and turned it back on many times. It goes as far as telling me the Bluetooth is connected but says that WiFi cannot connect even though I have strong signal. I will never know why a company releases something that they know has problems and ruin customer confidence in them.

Smooth x motor won’t work. Says it’s activated but the serial number is missing in the device and the app won’t control the Bluetooth correctly. Support is offline.
