Can’t connect to device without location
You have to give up your location to @@@ gov - otherwise it won’t let you connect to the device. This is a surveillance equipment.

garbage Device and App
no matter what i do, this stupid thing keeps trying to track nothing when it’s not even capable of tracking a person. completely unusable. i was supposed to be getting it refunded for a review but i can’t stand it and won’t give it a good review and it’s not worth having the trash of it around for no reason.

Could never connect
Looking for the device. The device is on, but connection failed every single time or cannot find the device 😭 rebooted, redownloaded. Not working.
Privacy issues
Demands location days and access to all photos...why? There is no need as this is just a gimbal. Serious doubts about the collection of data for what purpose.
Requires update then will not update. Would rate this as a zero star if that were possible. However, as it will be ending up in a bin it’s irrelevant. Save your money and avoid this product!

Good device horrible software
The device meets all the needs i was looking for when shopping around, however the software required to utilize all functions is horrible. The fact that you have to share your location to even use the app is a huge red flag.
On the bright side the device does work as intended and has limited functionality with stock and third party camera apps, you just end up losing some of the convenience oriented features such as quick swapping between front/rear cameras.
Overall I plan to continue to use the device with the stock iOS camera app and some other third party apps, however when I am in the market for a replacement I will be looking elsewhere.

Garbage
It doesn’t work. It doesn’t even recognize the Wi-fi that is literally 3 inches away.
I love this and don’t understand why it’s getting so much hate
I received my Smooth X for Christmas and absolutely love it. The app is very user friendly and their instructions and costumer service is great. Before downloading this app, I read the reviews and was shocked. I don’t get why people are hating on it so much. Am I missing something? Anyway, I love this app and my Smooth X.
